Any version of the MPP put out by Quorn should be considered stable. ;) It'll be classified as a Beta until there are no more things to add to it, which could take quite some time.

I can certainly say I've been using it without a hitch, that's for sure.

Can anyone direct me to a location where I can download the Morrowind Code Patch? I was getting 'the file does not exist' yesterday from Nexus, and no file listing today after the server move.

I just successfully downloaded the Code Patch from TesNexus a minute ago.

Thanks for the help. I seem to have some sort of caching problem with TESNexus, but the Great House Fliggerty link worked for me. I'm just getting back to Morrowind, having solved a sound/video problem that had made it unplayable for a while.

how does this http://planetelderscrolls.gamespy.com/View.php?view=Mods.Detail&id=2915#Files fit in with the visual fixes? It is obsolete or an alternative to those listed in the OP. I did a thread search for "Visual Pack", but came up blank.

The Visual Pack is one of the "higher-res texture replacer" mentioned in the first paragraph:
This section covers mods that fix texture mismatches, seams and "UV map" problems left in-game by Bethesda. These are of particular interest where you may be using a higher-res texture replacer, as the problems, which in many cases were hardly noticeable with Bethesda's low-res textures, become more glaringly apparent with finer ones.
My emphasis.

http://www.etherealsoftware.com.au/textpacks/ vs. original game textures (and some other texture packs).

Thanks for the quick reply.

So the Visual pack (and other hi-res mods) , aren't directly covered by this thread. My mistake.

No Gluby activity - hmm well maybe others can answer too.

First off thanks for your many threads with great critiques of mods and fixes and such.

I wish last year when I tried to get morrowind installed and modded that I had found them.

Question regarding - what I thought was an important fix (seems that qualifier is always dependent upon who you ask) - is where does http://wryemusings.com/#NotesandUtils into the scheme of the theme of this thread - if at all?

Is it still necessary? Is it often overlooked? Having reviewed a few threads with load orders - I'm not seeing it being used. Has it been superseded by anything? Maybe even wrye mash itself?

Or is it only something that is loaded when modding?

thanks

GMST Vaccine is for mod creators using the CS. I don't think it's meant to be loaded into the game.

GMST Vaccine is meant to be used with making mods in the CS as you denoted in your post, so it is not really something you will see in load orders.

The vaccine is for when you have Tribunal and/or Bloodmoon installed but don't want to have your mod dependent upon them. It's not meant for use during play, only when modding.

Ok thanks all for clarification. Next question - does the MPP or some other collection supersede the use of http://wryemusings.com/Wrye%20Patches.html?

They seem mostly concerned with naming conventions and I don't see them in many load orders now.

Thanks

I don't think Wrye's changes are necessarily "fixes" and so I wouldn't expect them in the MPP. AFAIR, they aren't included in the MPP. They may have been bundled up by someone but I can't remember ever having come across such a bundle.

Great list. Only thing that I'd change would be to switch out Bolgo the Madd's quest fixes for the updated versions that don't depend on an old version of the MPP to work.
