Need Help with steam version

Post » Tue May 08, 2012 8:39 am

I just bought Morrowind GOTY Edition from Steam two days ago and I need help making my game look pretty like all those videos and images on the Internet.
I have read that you need to do two things to make mods work properly. First turn the .bsa file date to a dates I can't remember and aslo turn off the steam community thing.
I have done both of thoses. I know that there is multiple diffrent mod packs and graphic extenders that will make your game nice.
I first tried to install MGE, I got it working but it dosen't look anything like the pictures out their. I got the view range pretty far not as far as the pictures though and it was supper laggy. I have a good computer 4 core with 3.2 speed,8 ram and a AMD Radeon HD 6570 graphic card. can Play bf3 max grapics with 45 fps. so I don't think its my computer I then tried Morrowind Overhaul Sound & Grapics still can't get it to work properly. but I got Vurts ground cover mod to work but you can't walk through the ground folage. But I think you are suppost to be able to walk through it. What I am basicly saying that I need a guide or someone to make a video/ tell me a step by step to make it look pretty well being playable.
PS I have installed mods for Unreal Tourny 3, Medieval 2 TW,Just cause 2,Oblivion,Skyrim,COH so I don't think it's me.

Thx for taking your time and trying to help me

The first thing you need to do is to have Steam installed outside of the C:\Program Files(x86) folder and http://www.gamesas.com/topic/781497-vistawindows-7-problems/ can find more information especially the last post, but skip the links in the OP because they haven't been updated since the latest forum upgrade. For MGE just ask your question in the http://www.gamesas.com/topic/1240985-morrowind-graphics-extender-mge/.

As for the "solid" grass, you need to check them during MGE Distant Land generation, but leave unchecked in the game itself.
