Mod me!

Post » Tue May 08, 2012 7:52 am

So after I kinda got disappointed in Skyrim, I've decided to blow the dust from my Morrowind, Tribunal and Bloodmoon disks and have some fun with it.
Now, since Morrowind's mod community is huge, it's kinda troublesome to find the rights mods for it, so I was wondering could you people help me out with it and list me some good mods for the game.
For now, I don't have anything special in my mind (except graphics overhaul and realistic darkness), so hit me with everything you think is good.

Thanks in advance! :)

Ha, I know that feeling. It made me laugh to read it that way though

As for your request, you should take a look at this mod:

This will be the basis for your improvements, install it first. It's easy to install and is automated. Good luck

Might be worth having a look at Pluto's http://www.gamesas.com/topic/1305729-mod-recommendations-for-new-players/ thread too.

I also recommend looking at http://www.gamesas.com/topic/1155980-povuholos-tomorrowind-a-mod-recommendations-list-for-today/page__hl__povuholo too. I like Povuholo's recommendations.

http://btb2.free.fr/morrowind.html would be a good starting point, especially if you want to stay as close as possible to vanilla (not something I'd suggest, unless this is your first time playing the game).

If you're planning to play a magic-oriented character, I'd suggest to join the Telvannis so you can experience the awesomeness of Uvirith's Legacy and Rise of House Telvanni (not to mention Tamriel Rebuilt).

Phijama's weapons are still among the best out there, despite being made aeons ago:

PainkillerRider's stuff- also still the best shields ever made for Morrowind:

I recommend DLing Art of War Museum, it adds some seriously sweet stuff. Not sure what all does Morrowind Overhaul affect, but if it doesn't cover weapons/armor and items generally, get PKR's gold and shield replacers as well. You'll find no better shield replacer than his.

And if you're into companions I recommend Julan, Ashlander, it's my favorite companion and is very in depth (as in, he's not just a hunk of meat do distract enemy blows from you you can get to know him and if you so choose, you can go even further-I didn't cause I'm male and you know.. :P Options are always good.)

And this is an oldie but goldie, white wolf of the lokken moutain, very good quest mod.

I also recommend taking a look at Arcimaestro's page, lots of good stuff in there
http://planetelderscrolls.gamespy.com/View.php?view=User.EntriesListing&id=136072

and in case overhaul doesn't replace weaponry (or if you decide not to install it) Chainy made a sweet conversion from Skyrim mod Weapons of the 3rd Era

Take it easy Krepaj (sounds weird when Krepaj means something in my language :P )

I've made a few mods that might interest you depending on your tastes. You can find them on my website (link in my sig). The download links for Wolflore aren't correct because I moved all of them into a subforum and I haven't updated my personal page with the new links.
