[Req] Beast of burden "stations", modders resources

Post » Tue May 08, 2012 6:33 am

It occurred to me, while tromping around with abot's guars that some type of station to leave one's guar or other animal companion outside of major cities or taverns would be really cool for role play. Ranging from a full station with stalls/food/water/attendant outside the entrance to Vivec to just a tether post and water trough outside taverns in cities where you could bring your beast inside city limits similar to the old west (e.g. The Rat in the Pot)

Having some good stuff to make this properly look cool, I'd start working on it. Although, it would likely take me some time to complete with my modding experience and lack of personal time for such a thing. So if someone likes the idea and wants to run with it, feel free.

I regret that this thread escaped my notice until now, because this is actually a really sound idea. It does make a lot of sense for there to be places for travelers on guarback (or on the backs of other kinds of creatures) to put their animal while they go inside a tavern or shop. I could probably find the time to work on this, although I since don't yet know how far I want to take it, I can't guarantee that much will come from it.

I vaguely remember a character saying in Vivec that guars weren't allowed in the city. The city being as large as it is, I would imagine you'd see all sorts of guars/other animals outside the entrance waiting for their masters to return and a caretaker business would naturally build up around the demand.

That'd be cool if it sparks your creative interest. With my time I'd have to quit playing to have the time to become a proper modder and I'm still a player at heart, grabbing a play session here and there when I can.
