Brain Dead FredKill 'em all challenge

Well, I'm still going what seems to be way too slowly. I'm going for stealth kills mostly, a mix of silenced .22 and bladed gauntlet until I finally got a silencer and scope for my varmint. I think it just feels slow to me, since I've not been in many protracted firefights and I'm not talking much damamge and having to heal and find healing items. Stealth kills are quick, once you get in position. We'll see how I finish up. I'm in freeside now and getting ready to depopulate Vegas.

It means going back every three days to a particular location and killing everything in the vicinity, often with the underlying assumption that you're using the 'Wait' function to advance the game-calendar while in a different cell from the one containing the targets.

Some items are only dropped by certain critters/NPCs, so repeatedly killing a sizable concentration of same is the only reliable way of amassing a large quantity of said items. In the case of Fiends, there is a side issue of the Van Graffs' inventory having the bad habit of 'locking up' and staying at the same low-level crap it starts with; as a result, the Fiends become the de facto best source of standard Energy Weapons and ammo unless you have unlocked certain rep-dependent vendors.
All right, thanks!

Ok folks. Just finished a complete run of killing everyone. I got 1265 kills and nailed my last kill, Harland (I forgot to do Repcon when I was near Novac, so I saved it for last) at exactly 19:11 on 11/5/2281. That's 17 days, 10 hours and 11 minutes. I don't know if anyone is still interested in doing this, but that's the number. i dare you to beat it.
