What city will the game start in?

What city do you think the game will start in? Give reasons for your answer.

I think the game will start in Windhelm, as it seems to be one of the main entrances to Skyrim, especially from Morrowind (maybe how the character starts off - a refugee from Vvardenfell?). Seyda Neen was the entrance port for imperial boats, so it made sense that it was the starting point. It is also fairly close to other cities, just like the Imperial City and Seyda Neen.

I'm not sure, I like the Idea of Winterhold just because it's up there, i'm not much familiar with the cities just looks like a good one too me, I'd also want it in a small town, or city.

I don't really see how any of us could possibly choose or give reasons for choosing. I mean all we know about the game right now is that it is either a direct sequel (unlikely) or takes place 200 years since Oblivion (most likely but even the evidence for this is questionable) and even in that respect we really don't know anything. We know nothing about any of the cities, really, except for minor stuff. It's anybody's guess, right now and it could go any way.

Smalll village or somewhere out of reach. As much as the game Risen had it's faults I liked the idea of reaching the main settlement being a bit of a challenge at early levels. I din't know why though, different strokes I suppose. It'll probably be a city though, closed off temporarily due to a blizzard which conveniently subsides when you have completed even quests to level up a bit.

I like Winterhold. Since it seems to be the most metropolitan, and you're most likely to find heroes from the other races there from all over Tamriel. (Soltitude, it's great rival, is much more likely to be more dominative or even xenofobic towards other races.)

Noble Members of the Imperial Elder Council!
Personally I, Councillor Braskus Ocerallus of the Most Divine city of Anvil, am quite partial to Solitude, even though an Anvilian I may be. Going there by boat would be quite interesting, maybe just leaving the boat and such out of everything and start directly on the port, being approached by a man and there do the presentation of yourself. As we all know Nords can be quite brutal and barbaric at times so why not have a fight appear where you can try your fists a little?
That is all I have to say.

Long live the Empire!

It would I assume be in a small village for the character to start out in so you can travel to any of the cities or go out into the wilderness much like Seyda neen in Morrowind. But if you started in one of the cities then I would prefer Winterhold what with many of the Dunmer migrating there after the "incident". Plus it would be interesting to see much of their culture again.

I believe we will start out in a small military encampment, this is because I believe the PC will be mistaken for a spy of some sort.

It's possible the borders have expanded.

I think it would be interesting to start in Bruma. Maybe they could even pull details about the statue from your Oblivion file

Not on a boat or in a jail cell.
