Pentannual Census of the Houses of Morrowind, Post Red-Year

Woot. Get Temple Z on the horn, I think we gots us a winnah.

Also, I can confirm that this wasn't me. I'm too self-absorbed to use alternate accounts.

Dont alternate accounts get us mere mortals banned?
Without going into details, I have seen this happen though granted the alternate was used for a (slightly trollish) prank.

In any case, I think one can assume that I am the same as a majority of posters in that we value our accounts too much to violate any terms of service, even if we havent read it very well and simply assume alternate accounts are out of order as they are with many sites.

Most websites I know don't really mind so much about alternate accounts, so long as they aren't being abused. Not sure about this one, but I imagine it's the same.

Im not too sure about that.
I admit I do not read terms of service. I have better things to do with my time than to see who is king of the hill in this particular nook and what idiosyncracies I need be annoyed about.
I do know however that in general things as multi/ alternate are frowned upon as they can lead to one person replying to another person who actually is the same person in order to stoke up replies or any other kind of disingenious argumentation.

I simply apply common sense to these things.
Any social group has its own way of communicating, its own do's and dont's.
When youre new an elder wont mind explaining things unharshly or tapping you on the fingers slightly, if they arent a totally paranoid closed-minded bunch.
So you acclimatise and never get a mute and therefore never a ban.
Internet really isnt hard.

Yep. Besides, if they did that, we wouldn't have MK.

As I pointed out, I do suspect us mere mortals do not have similar privileges.
I have seen a ban because of an alt that had not a too major foul-up, and a subsequent ban of trying to start again under a new name.
I do suspect that the wisest reply in these circumstances would be: Hm.
In any case, Im not going to try it out.

Only time they care about alts is if you're breaking the rules otherwise (spamming, flaming, trolling).

I'll just reiterate it again in case a wandering spirit from the Bethesda team pops through - this is the best piece to come along in a long while, and really deserves consideration for canonization. I'd love to get the elk's opinion on it...what's his summoning day again?

I think this should be moved to fan fic...its really not lore and shouldn't really belong here.

Like God and Zero, new categories were necessary, so we invented them. This is speculative lore. Apocrypha, if you will,

or even if you won't.

In betrayal of my lore obsessions, I have to say, this is the part I find most interesting. Are the Thalmor protecting the remnants of the Tribunal Temple? If so, why? This adds a whole new dimension to the mythical wars of the fourth era.

I interpreted that bit as the New Temple possibly becoming a seperate great threat to the Empire than the Thalmor rather than allied with them. As I understood from dialogue in Skyrim, the Dunmer don't really agree with the Aldmeri Dominion's goals.

Cider!, this may or may not be 'lore,' whatever that means, but that doesn't mean it doesn't belong in this forum. "General discussion of the Elder Scrolls universe including lore, legends, and history." Monkeytruth and Apocrypha function as refined forms of discussion. 'Cause, ya know, some things can only be fully communicated within an aesthetic context.

Monkeytruth not fanfic there's a difference.

Apocrypha, not Monkeytruth. There's a difference.

I go away for a couple of months, and then... Wow.

That's the thing about the Dunmer: blow them all up, and they just come back nine thousand times cooler than before.

...Slaying dozens in the names of Veloth and the Triune Saints...

I've seen some ask about the relation of the New Temple to the Old Tribunal. There's your answer: they've been downgraded to saints to make room for the re-emergence of broad sweeping ancestor worship, seemingly without the Good Daedra being included.

This post is excellent and desperately needed. If there was a 'canonization petition', sign my name at the bottom.

So what are the chances of this ending up being accepted by Bethesda? Have MonkeyTruths become simply Truths before in Elder Scrolls Lore? And please please please let this be canon...

It may be a first afaik. This piece is simply brilliant and deserves a DLC built around it at minimum.

We should be making petitions and personal letters and [censored] right now. This needs to be real.
