Hm. If Glass is indeed a 'divine' material as Ebony is, I wouldn't see why this wouldn't be feasible. Then again, perhaps Ebony is used because it is more...hm...concentrated? Pure? Hard to tell really. Also, since glass is a more brittle material and requires more maintenance to keep it in usable condition, and this may factor in why it isn't used in comparison to ebony.
