A VERY strange error.

Has anyone seen anything like this before? It was...odd...

So, most people have seen the "dead people crucified" problem - where dead bodies are put into a standing cross position and not properly Havok'd to fall on the ground.

But in nearly 3000 hours of Oblivion I've never seen this before.

I was in Memorial Cave yesterday, and saved then restarted Oblivion right after making it to the end of the level. When I reloaded, all of the creatures and people I had killed were standing straight up, and ...flying along the ground. They were going in all different directions - a Tar Fiend headed straight for me while a Vampire Initiate and an Orc Adventurer went out through a northern wall. Then a random Khajiit bandit flew through me from behind and headed off to the left, his dead eyes and bloody face staring at me the whole time. As I ran for the exit, thoroughly creeped out, I noticed an enemy had gotten stuck at the door, and it kept repeating the same "exiting through the wall" loop over and over again, in a slightly different trajectory each time.

I probably won't go back into that cave anytime soon.

It seems to be caused by Maximum Compatibility Skeletons or something like that. Once you delete those skeleton meshes, everything should return to normal. That's why I uninstall toss BBB away.

So this has been seen before. Interesting.
I don't have Maximum Compatibility Skeletons (or any skeleton-specific mod for that matter) installed, so I'll have to see if I can determine which of my other mods has a bad skeleton. Thanks for the tip.

It's a vanilla game bug and nothing to do with mods.
If your using Streamline open it's ini file and alter this line: set SLKillCorpses to 1

Interesting! I wouldn't have guessed that it's a vanilla bug since I've never experienced it before.
I don't have Streamline installed at the moment, but will have to consider doing so in order to prevent this in the future.

Not sure, but I think kuertee's other mod "Cleanup" does this.

I'm guessing not, personally, as I do have that mod installed. (Or, at a minimum, it doesn't prevent ALL such cases.)

Unfortunately, Clean Up doesn't address this.
I don't know this problem. I've not come across it in my games.
T-pose bug, as previous stated, is form the game itself - i.e. not caused by mods.
But that flying killed bug is news to me. I've not seen that - ever.
Can you select one with the console and check how long they've been dead for (e.g. GetTimeDead).
Clean Up will disable those actors whose GetTimeDead > iHoursRespawnCell.

Unfortunately, I cannot - they aren't selectable! I almost wonder if the game tried to disable the actors for some reason, was unable to do so (at least graphically), and now I'm watching them get moved out of the active play area and into an unplayable zone (like is done with undeleted and disabled references).

Two other interesting observations: first, some of the dead actors seem to be gone entirely. But it could just be that I'm not able to move to where their bodies are quickly enough to watch them floating away. Second, there's a skeleton from MMM 3.8 I've killed that is standing straight up but NOT moving...

I have provided a link to the savegame that illustrates this problem if anyone wishes to try it - but of course since everyone else will have a different mod order than mine, I can't guarantee that you'll see the same issue - or even that my savegame will load on your machine.
