Wasn't really sure where to put this one, but figured modders would run into the problem more than anyone else. I have Nvidia's DDS Viewer installed so that I can see DDS thumbnails in Windows Explorer. Lately, though, Explorer crashes about 50% of the time when rendering the DDS thumbnails. Has anyone else ran into this problem and if so, is there a fix?

I'm running Windows XP SP3 with a GeForce 550 GTX Ti card, although it did this periodically with my old 9800 as well

I am using Win 7 and it seems that dds viewer doesn't work at all with it. I have installed irfanview instead. It works well but won't give you a thumbnail preview. I couldn't find anything that would do that.
