Just need some safe storage and a campfire.
Can't think of anywhere that dosen't have Deathclaws or Tunnelers.

Once you clear them out, it's a pretty safe place.

The Hopeville Armory is what I usually use as a base camp and a place to store stuff.

Is that the small barracks building with the computer terminal in front of its door? If so, I use that place too. It even has a bed to use. I like to decorate it various items to look like my courier camped out there for a while.
