You could check the file sizes. Generally though, if it say WITH UPDATE, that generally means it's the full version+any new bugfixes. However if there are any files labelled something like REQUIRED or MAIN FILEs, these are necessary. Most of the time the latest file will have all the core files required with any other files being optional.
That doesn't mean you do not have to install the previous versions. I've obviously checked all the things that you've mentioned and let me break this down so you can understand.
These are the descriptions of each of the main files...
"Well just check it... New installationroutine..."
"well... hope it work now."
"New version."
"Finally!"
"cri_squad_0_9_3_5 Akayama crash fix. Note that you need full version 0.9.3.5 first!!!!!!!!!"
None of those descriptions really help since none of them are labeled required, none are set as old versions, and three out of the 4 of them say NEW, so how in the hell would I know that one of the downloads doesn't depend on something from the other if there is no readme?
