Xodarap777's XFO mod for New Vegas?

Post » Fri Dec 04, 2009 8:29 am

Hey guys,

Does anyone know if Xodarap777 is making or planing a New Vegas version of his famous XFO balance overhaul mod? Well, Xodarap777 are you still following this forum I would be happy to hear an answer from you :D

Last I know he was planing to rewrite the entire XFO but I don't know if he is up to that task or left the wasteland modding for good. I am a huge fan of his work and now with our new Fallout game I am looking for a realism/overhaul mod again. Arwen's work is promising. I used Arwen's Realism Tweaks for F3 (not the entire pack but some of the modules) and it was pretty damn good. I aslo saw a mod named Puce Moose Tweak and Balance Center in the Nexus but didn't try it out yet. So if anyone of you fellas has a suggestion for realism/balance overhaul mods I would be appreciated.

Thanks!

Well, you could always use http://www.gamesas.com/index.php?/topic/1123423-relz-arwens-nv-realism-tweaks/...

I can't help but wonder why you'd want to immediately go out and "balance" the game out, though. It's only been out for a few weeks, if that! Come on!

Xodarap777 is inactive for nearly a year and i think he abandoned XFO, i loved his work because it was very customizable , maybe you should send him a PM ..

P?O_KILO,

Yeah I will try to contact him via pm. As you said it was customizable and you didn't have to use all of the changes alltogether. I even made a combination with XFO and Arwen's :D

roxahris,

I am indeed planing to use Arwen's and I'm following that topic. But it is still not ready to be used for me. A new version is about to be released I guess. I hope it will be great. F3 version of that mode vas very good.
Oh, and about using modes since day one thing, you are right of course and I don't want to be disrespectful to Bethesta. I am appreciated for their work and maybe balance is not the correct word here. It is only about the way I want to play this game. As much as I like the world they created, I want it to be something like in my mind. Mods are here for that right? I wished I had the similar knowledge about moding as these people or the time to learn it. Only thing I can do now is to find the correct combination of mods for ultimate fallout experience for me :)

From what i read XFO was integrated into WE. Some of those changes wouldn't work in NV though, like the increased weapon damage wouldn't work without also tweaking damage threshold on armors.
