I can only play as one charector. How weird is that?

Post » Wed May 09, 2012 6:46 pm

I'm like Ben Cartwright.

I'm handy with a gun, but I don't talk about it much. I'd rather use the thing for keep the molerats out of my yard.

I would never kill a molerat, all you animal rights activist! I just shoot a little bit in thier direction to keep them off my land.

I know how to do some doctoring up. First aid and such. I educated myself on lockpicking, easy to get in to places, it's useful.

I study up on science as best I can. I think it's the key to getting america back on it's feet.

But what am I really, is a talker. I belive that communication makes bad situations turn out okay. And we got a lot of bad situations in the wastelands.

Now, I tell you that to tell you this,

In New Vegas, I can only play as this charector. I had some bad guy charectors, even took down the town of goodsprings. But I felt really bad aobut it.

It's strange, but I can't play as anyone else.

Anyone else feel this way?

Morals? Is this what I'm feeling?

Morals make my tummy hurt when I steal all of Doc Mitchels stuff. Even though he's okay with it for some weird reason...

If I could, I'd help out everyone...

But I often take arrows to the knee ...

...Anyone else feel this way?

Not particularly.

If I want it I'll take.

If it moves I'll likely shoot it.

If it makes me angry I'll kill it.

If it burns I'll probably smoke, er light it up.

If it hurts I'll shoot something into my arm so it will stop.

If I hurt someone's feelings, it svcks to be them.

Leave me alone and I'll be inclined to do the same unless... refer to earlier statements.

The wasteland is doing it's damnedest to kill me, the only way to deal with this is to kill it first.

Civilization is trying to take away my way of life so I'll kill that too.

I feel no morals or remorse in videogames.

I have enslaved dozens of people in F3, I have wiped out entire towns in NV, and I have picked off dozens of NCR soldiers, aka- farm kids with a months training.

I feel no morals or remorse in videogames.

I have enslaved dozens of people in F3, I have wiped out entire towns in NV, and I have picked off dozens of NCR soldiers, aka- farm kids with a months training.

The only npc I enslaved was that snooty wench in the Towers who always looked down her nose and insulted everyone 'beneath' her, even though she had a history as a sidewalk trotter. Talk about 'had it coming'... lol!

But overall, I'm more of a gray-area player- most of my decisions tend to be semi-moral, which is why I could never side with Caesar, or the Powder Gangers. Treat me fair and don't look down on me like dirt for no reason, and we'll get along fine. Profligate? svck down summa this tasty hot-lead stew, skirt-boy! Oooh, lookee thar- sixy sleepwear under that centurion armor... profligate indeed, ya perverted hypocrites.

But, I'll sometimes bushwhack the Lonesome Drifter camping under the billboard for his Mysterious .44 Magnum (no Talent Pool quest? pfft. who cares), and i'll steal anyone and everyone blind when they ain't lookin, if they have ammo, weapons, skillbooks or anything else I need. Life is hard in the Mojave, you gotta take care of yourself first, and then worry about morals when your belly's full and you got what you need to survive.

Oh, and those molerats? And bighorners, and lizards, and brahmins, and so on... yeah, them's good EXP! The buzzards are happy, on my backtrail.

But other than that, I'm with ya, Rooster

Oh, somethin' moved over by that mesquite shrub- molerat!! :gun:

I'm the same way. No matter what type of character I make, they always eventually turn out the same.

This is one of the few things that never changes for me during any of my playthroughs. I don't kill Mole Rats and I don't kill Doc Mitchell, every other "morally dark" decision is free game.

Sort of, but mine in New Vegas is more that I tend to side with House all the time. I've never done a Yes Man play through or a full NCR one. I also have trouble going with small guns. I like energy weapons/science too much.

In Fallout 3 (with mods) it was always an Enclave character. Except for the occasional Outcast or what have you.

Yes, I feel the same way. I cringe when I do something immoral and evil. When I make evil characters, I just can't go all Stupid Evil for long (like wiping out Goodsprings), I have to go "sneaky, manipulative, silver-tongued"-evil. It's just that there lacks some options for it, most options in the game are clearly for a goody playthrough :) But many times I get in dialogues with options I think "this isn't what my character would say, it's too nice..."

So I kind of play a Malcolm Reynolds type of character instead, fighting for Independence!

To tell the truth though, I feel bad about killing Caesar.
I feel bad about telling Raul to take a hike.
I feel bad whenever I am unable to save God.
I feel bad when I let Boone live.
I feel bad when I help out NCR.
I feel bad when Ian dies.
I feel bad when Dogmeat walks into yet another forcefield.
I feel bad about ever even thinking about harming Harold.
I feel bad about Chance dying.

But I don't feel bad about everything.
The Weathers family? I love sneak attacking the daughter then cannibalizing her corpse right in front of her father.
I love watching Mr House squirm after I've taken him out of his chamber.
I love killing every NCR soldier, ranger and politician without any kind of remorse (hey, they signed up to be killed, I'm not gonna feel bad about people who willingly want to die.)

I have certain moments when I actually "feel" for characters. But since I'm a very random kinda girl the ones I like and don't like can be pretty random.
FOr example, Veronica, she's nice and all, but I ended up serving her as food for the White Glove Society, didn't feel a thing about it.
Was kinda envious that I didn't get to eat her though... So the next playthrough I picked Cannibal again (like I always do) and killed her and ate her all by myself. ^^,
