Rest of DLC's as awesome as OWB?

Post » Wed May 09, 2012 10:07 pm

So I am hearing ALOT of love/hate for OWB and many comparisons to Mothership Zeta. I finished FO3 through Broken Steel and may pick up Zeta at some point. Besides the obvious ufo similarities, why does OWB remind you of Zeta?

Also, why did Zeta get so much hate? To me, both of these DLC's looky incredibly quirky and fun.

For the record, while I do enjoy blasting fools, I do want a good story in my game and a challenge.

I liked them all, Old World Blues is the one I liked the least, but many people consider it the best, and some consider it the only good one. I'd personally rank them like this though:

1. Dead Money
2. Lonesome Road
3. Honest Hearts
4. Old World Blues

I don't know how you got in my head, but get the hell out.

(That's exactly my mental Best to meh list >_>)

Picked up NV on release date, beat it, but never got around to DL'ing the DLC's until last night.
Astarted off with OWB...

Are the rest of them as great as OWB is? because I am loving it. It's as if they left all of the sxploratiqon out of the main game for it. Dig the characters. the creepy SCIENCE! experiments and the like.

So..... are the rest as good is OWB?
IF you had to rank them, low to high, what order do you put them in?

No, Old World Blues is the best but they're all very good. Even Dead Money which has the worst gameplay in my opinion still has great writing.

Dead Money is undeniably, still the best.

It's just scary as hell, a very long DLC, that you have to be very careful in. It's a fight for survival.

The Characters are totally awesome (Dean Domino is my favorite), and the confrontation with Elijah, and the aftermath, is totally intense.

1. Dead Money
2. Lonesome Road
3. Old World Blues
4. Honest Hearts

I played Honest Hearts again recently, and I've gained more respect for it. I still don't put it over OWB, but the Survivalist's story, and Joshua Graham's presence in the DLC, are both very epic.

Zion is also quite pretty, it's just not post-apocalyptic enough.

This is how I would rank them as well. Although, I would rank HH over OWB because I tend to use HH's loot more often. OWB had a longer quest line though, yet similar format to HH ...strange :ermm: .

I've only got the first two DLC's (Dead Money and Honest Hearts). Dead Money was by far my favourite, it's a different approach to the FO series in my opinion and I liked how they did it. Very difficult at some points though and I even had to consult the Internet once :P

Honest Hearts was really good as well but it was just so damn short, literally a few hours...
