DLC pricing issue

Post » Wed May 09, 2012 7:29 pm

Ok, I want to purchase some dlc now for fallout vegas. Ive been waiting for a bundle pack and I assumed one would come out after Skyrim which happens to be called ( Ultimate edition).
Now I check the Ultimate edition on steam, a reasonable 39.99 US dollars for the game and all the DLC.

I have a normal copy of the Vegas game. To purchase all DLC standalone without the main game costs 54.94 USD total.

I am afraid what to do? Do I purchase the ultimate edition with the DLC with the risk of having to download the entire game separately as it will be under a different title in my steam apps?
Or do I wait for someone smart enough from bethesda to have a permanent bundle for the DLC. My internet is not the kind that can download such large files, all my games are retail for this reason.

I would like someone with some sort of authority on the matter to please reply to this as I am really annoyed and tired of waiting, I actually e-mailed 6 months ago about this issue and was told within
reason that something alone these lines would have been done.

The Ultimate Edition and the original Fallout: New Vegas are different. Saying this, you will need to download it, along with all of the DLCs. Along with this, you will have to play a new play through, you can't play on guys which were used on the original Fallout: New Vegas.

So, you can download a lot of files (which, either way with the DLCs alone it's still a lot of files), pay less for all of them plus the game, and not be able to play original play throughs

Or you can pay more for seperate DLCs and using your original play through's

Great, guess I wont be buying nothing from Bethesda, its not about the money. Its more about the offensiveness of trying to rip people off.

I think its more steams system(surpised they havnt really fixed it) but you could just wait for a sale where it slashes the DLC prices in half or even better 75% off

yeh well I will be waiting for that pretty much, Its a shame I dont get some sort of letter in my mailbox telling me that there is a specific steam sale for fallout dlc, because I dont have the time or patience to be trolling
every second day for a special.

Don't mean to be pedantic, but the word you were looking for there is TRAWLING. As spelling gaffes go, though, that one conjures up some funny images :D

Again, apologies for being a pedant...

Well Pretty much is Trawling because Pricing/Marketing is one of the top priorities in making a game. Income/Expenditure is always tightly managed from whatever business or occupation you do.
Except the sad thing is, there are fish who just jump in the boat without even looking.

You van buy NV for under$20(used) then get the dlc when it's on sale.
