Urgent help needed

Hey there. Yesterday I recieved my copy of Morrowind GOTY and have just finished the small tutorial part and am loving it. I plan to get MGE soon and a few other graphical mods. Unfortunately I have a large problem, I have low vision and Oblivion text is perfect because it's nice and large but morrowinds is absolutely tiny and I have to have my head literally 2 or so cm from the monitor which is quite unpleasant. Is there a mod that increases the text size, particularly for dialogue? Or if there isn't one would someone mind making me it. Seriously at this point the game is almost unplayable for me or is very uncomfortable to do so. If anyone could link me a mod or an .ini change? I would be incredibly grateful.

you could just make the resolution smaller. that should enlarge the text.

You could try FPS Optimizer, it has an advanced option at the bottom of the screen under the Misc2 tab to increase the user interface magnification via a slider.

Yes but that also makes the rest of the game look worse.

Thanks very much :) I'll try this and see how it goes.

You can always try http://planetelderscrolls.gamespy.com/View.php?view=Utilities.Detail&id=69 - I have been using slighty bigger versions of the standard fonts (found in the Book Art folder on the CS CD). And even without using that, you can always change font one by setting Font 1=century_gothic_font_large in the ini, but that still leaves font zero.

I tried it. Unfortunately it only make the actual inferfaces bigger not the text. I'll give tron villains suggestion a try.

I tried changing the fonts but it just crashes morrowind at startup. :(
I have no idea how to make my own fonts. Any ideas?
thanks

I fixed the font issue but it didn't make it any better :( Please guys I'm really desperate here. Such an amazing game (except for the combat) with such a lovely art style (the red mist and the trees ) yet I can barely read what anyones saying.

In your Morrowind.ini try changing:
[Fonts]Font 0=magic_cards_regularFont 1=century_gothic_font_regularFont 2=daedric_font
To
[Fonts]; original value; Font 0=magic_cards_regularFont 0=century_gothic_big; original value; Font 1=century_gothic_font_regularFont 1=century_gothic_bigFont 2=daedric_font
It'll change the look of the game, in that a standard sans serif-type font is used when originally an olde worlde one was. It might also make the UI and Journal look a bit weird.

I can't read Daedric so hopefully not changing Font 2 won't be a problem. From memory it's just used for the text on scrolls.

If that doesn't work then it's Make MW Fonts or nothing.

[Edit: For my game (European) it's "century_gothic_big" but it might be "century_gothic_font_large" for US versions based on what Tronvillain said]
