So im doing independent ending, im idolized on the strip, good natured rascle with ncr, and merciful thung with legion. House is dead but ulysses says im with house how do i fix this?

I dont think its possible. I nuked NCR and still Ulysses things im with them. Even got the NCR duster. Kinda weakens the DLC but im sure its just a glitch the Obsidian team left in.

The reason is because you have a good reputation with the Strip.

Good rep with Legion - He think you're with Legion.
Good rep with NCR - He thinks you're with the NCR.
Good rep with the Strip - He thinks you're with House.
Bad rep with all three - Independence.

Shoot up the casinos.

Yeah, i had to go with NCR just cause i was liked by them at that time. NEVER DOING NCR MISSIONS AGAIN.

Get good rep with FOTA and BOS and maybe the boomers,it aint that hard to get idolized with all three.

if you have good rep with any the major 3 factions commit enough crimes against them to get wild child status or below.

I'd think if your going to take over the strip you'd want to get on their good side. Well as one way of playing Independent anyway.
