Grass LOD

How do I create LOD Grass? Whenever I create a new world space and cover it with grass I can only see halfway across the island, the other half turns into that ugly default brown texturing. Is there a way to fix this?

Nope, you're stuck with it I'm afraid. Grass view distance is something that is calculated on the fly by the game engine dependent on the position of where the player is. It's not something that can be pre-generated along with all the other mountains and cities.

AFAIK.

Yes, but if he's able to have all that grass displayed, he could probably raise his igridstoload and grass view distance in the .ini to push that threshold further away.

Ultimately though, you might want to consider using a primary ground texture that doesn't contrast as much against the grasses found in that texture. Things like dirtmossrock are usually best for smaller patches of terrain. You can also break things up a bit by cutting swaths in the terrain using a grassless texture, and adding more grassy looking textures to those places with the grasses.
