Why can Crysis 2 on Max Settings but Brink has issues?

My Dell L701x (i7 Q740CPU / 12GB RAM / nvidia GT 445m 3GB) can run Crysis 2 with Max settings. Why does Brink run so crap?

I'm running 275.25 nvidia drivers.

I get an average of 40-50 FPS on my laptop in Brink but it feels like 10-15.

How can Crysis 2 run and look like a dream on this laptop but Brink on the lowest settings is still crap?

Who is has this issue? Or know what I might be able to do to fix?

It's because Brink's engine hasn't been optimized, especially for the greater populace outside of their own company where they probably perfected to the max for that internal testing, once it hit the streets, they had a lot on their hands to fix and optimize.

If you really are getting only 15 fps, drop the console with "alt+ctrl+~" and type "seta r_shadows 0", if you further need to, though I doubt it disable motion blur, ambient occlusion, and post processing, post processing if it hasn't been fixed yet, make sure to set that to off right after you launch it, otherwise, after you play your first game or experience any game-play during that launch you'll need to restart to change that.

That makes sense but is very disappointing.

I had already made all those changes in my config files to no luck. This is the first PC game I have purchased in the last 3 years, I'm starting to think console is the way to go because at least i can return games.

I'm really surprised gamesas let this out and I hope they don't trust SD in the future. Maybe this should be a lesson learned for their upcoming game Rage.
