Graphical issue - permanent wall-eye vision

Post » Sun Dec 06, 2009 6:10 pm

Hello community,

I'm experiencing a problem at the moment with visuals. For reasons unknown, the vision of my character(s) is now zoomed back a little bit and rounded, like having wall-eye.

The vision is now back far enough that the weapon used takes up a huge amount of the screen and I get vertigo trying to move around. Not to mention, enemies are now much harder to see at distance.

I have reset the PC, drivers, everything. This change (like my character's new voice..) seems permanent.

Can anyone help?

I'm looking for any assistance with this. Currently the game is not playable.

I have uninstalled and reinstalled, the problem persists.

It's your field of view. Enable console and type in ui_fov 70 to set it back to default (or any number between 70-100 if you want to customize it).

To enable console: go into your steam library, right click brink, and go into properties. Look for launch options and put "+com_allowconsole 1" inside the box without quotes and hit ~ on your keyboard when you are in-game to bring the console up.

Thank you very much for your reply. I have followed the above instructions (precisely) but am unable to bring the Console up.

I tried the "-console" command with ` in game instead, that worked with the FOV command. I appreciate the assistance.
