So, I've been playing the game since it came out. I have an ATI HD 4870 GFX card, so when the game first launched I had to deal with random grid lines everywhere. Luckily, it was not too long before they fixed that problem, and now the game looks beautiful and sparkly. But since then, I have become more aware of the low framerates that I am spontaneously getting while playing the game. I downloaded the BRINK config tool to see if turning shadows off, lowering draw distance or any of that would help, it did not. Nor did lowering the graphics of the game to the lowest (lowest resolution, no shadows, low texture quality, etc., etc.). I turned the FPS meter on and regardless of what I do to the graphics, the meter reads at about 15-25 FPS most of the time while in-game. Whenever I enter an enclosed area (instead of being out in the open), am in the respawn area, or just look directly at a wall, I get perfect framerates (up to nearly 50), but when I am out in the open areas, or even if I just look in certain directions, my framerate drops (I think it should be noted that on the title menu I get about 90 FPS...). It also seems to become smooth when looking down a scope, but not regular iron sights, or adjusted iron sights. I can't imagine this is a problem with my machine and I have seen a few other topic with the same issues, but not as descriptive.
So what I am asking is, how many other people are having this problem, does anyone have any idea how to 'fix' it, and is there anyone who is aware of a possible update any time soon?

there are various tweaks you can perform to help you squeeze out more FPS from your machine so you can enjoy your game. i was averaging between 10 and 15fps rates. with these tweaks im now having 35-60fps

By changing the Threaded Render to 2, it increased the framerate by about 10, so now it runs at about 30 FPS as the cap. Good enough to play, but still a little too laggy to handle.
