Okay, I've stopped detecting obstacles by making roaches look out for scorpions. Now I'm doing it by firing laser beams at giant toasters. Still too early for a video, but we're making good progress!

EDIT: This stuff truly is a sight for sore eyes. I'll see if I can't get a video out of it later today
