I ordered it off ebay...checked the auction mulitple times. All seemed fine....got the game in the mail today. Installed it. The [censored] game is in German. What the hell.

Are there any mods out there that can revert it to English?

I'm not sure. However, if you do find a way, be aware also that the German version is censored in that children are removed from the game. Now, children aren't very important NPCs in Fallout 1, but you can't pass up the ability to hit them in the groin with a sledgehammer.

http://files.filefront.com/Fallout+1+Child+Patch/;12026517;/fileinfo.html patch will bring them back.

Hey if there's one thing that should inspire you to learn a new language, it's Fallout.

I took 4 years of chinese. I will NOT sit through hell again. Its like being forced to watch a Richard Simmons workout video, its not an enjoyable experience.

German is the easiest language to learn if you know English.

Gah! Dunno 'bout 1, but in 2 the children were not removed from the game, just turned invisible. So on my first playthrough in a computer caffe I ended up gaining the childkiller perk and plunged in mystery: "WTF?!". Apparently some punk playing outside the house of a certain mob family in New Reno got caught in a crossfire...
