I have been having scattered lock ups and freezes since day one with this game. But now every time I try to leave the Lucky 38 the game will load for a minute and then make the door opening sound and go to a black screen. I have waited up to 20 minutes just to see if it will load before resetting my PS3. This is such an enjoyable game WHEN IT WORKS. Fix this game

thats why i make raul carry an old cowboy hat at all times. ive heard about this glitch. not sure why it happens but ive heard that for some reason wearing one will make it work.

not sure if you have to wear it always or just in the strip though.

Alright goofy as it sounds I'll try it crossing my fingers and hoping it works. Ive got 33 hours in the game and really hate to start all over so much so I almost returned the game yesterday.

The cowboy hat thing works.

What's the name of the hat?

Old cowboy hat.Can be found(brought) in two locations.In freeside down the street from old mormon fort in rick and nick's shop(pretty sure of the name) and the cavarn base(red cavarn or something) a bit east and south of the frreside entrance .

Or the hat from the Quest "Debt Collector".. Won't spoil anything but you're supposed to get a hat for that quest..

Ok so aside from loading an older save, how would one who is stuck inside lucky 38 get out to obtain said cowboy hat? Obviously I can't fast travel...any ideas?
