At first the idea of all that you can do in the game makes you feel really small.

Seriously, did you know how long it took me to get out of Balmora? I literally lived there for a long time. I had my stuff in that cozy bunk area of the Mages Guild, and also in a house in that kitty corner area of the South(something) Corner Club (it's probably not called that, but I can't remember what it is called.)

Anyway, eventually near the end of my game (which I never officially quit... It was on Xbox. GOTY Edition. Beat the MQ and started Tribunal and then for some reason stopped playing. Possibly due to the increasing Xbox load times. Actually I think I just burned out for a bit. That was a couple years ago. Anyway, my PC Goty version is now coming in the mail from Amazon.ca. I'll probably make the same kind of character again and beat the MQ, then do Tribunal and Bloodmoon. I'd do them right away, but I think I need to level up with the MQ to be good enough to do them) (Wow, that was the longest bracket speech ever), I had this awesome Dwemer-made tower that I kicked (read:killed) an evil wizard out of. I kept all the expensive weapons and armour's that I found there. I can't remember specifics, but I think a couple of them were famous artifacts.

So far I've just been wandering around between towns, I don't have enough stuff yet that I need a place to put it, lol. I got killed by this wierd bird thing. I tried fighting a person, I could beat a still strider person but when I tried to fight a guard I got killed I think i'd need to level up more.

Yeah, and also... unless you're planning on an evil or ruthless character, killing guards and Silt Strider guy's probably isn't advised. Heh.

One thing you can do is - you get a package at the start, and are told to deliver it to Cauis Cosades in Balmora. Even if you don't do the Main Quest, you may as well do that, because he lets you hang out in his house, sleep in his bed, and put your stuff wherever. So sometimes I hang at his house until later.

Or if you join the Fighters or Mages Guild, they have beds and stuff available. Like in the mages guild, there's a bunk section down stairs (I think) that I used to use. I'd put my stuff on the table and beds.

The other Guilds probably have that too, I'm just most familiar with the Fighters and Mages Guilds.

That was a cliff racer. If you have trouble hitting it, try aiming for the tail.

Yeah, you should probably stick to storing stuff on tables and beds instead of using chests, wardrobes and other containers. Most (but not all) have owners assigned to them so your items get tagged as stolen when you take them out again. You might want to ask around (probably in the Hints forum) as to which containers are safe to use.

I second the advice on not killing the Silt Strider guys. I'm also extending it to everybody else who is offering travel services. Otherwise you might end up having to walk everywhere!

I know, I was just using them as an example because they popped into my head. I saved before killing them. ^^

What kind of character did you make? (Sorry if you already posted about that)

Female Dunmer. Her major skills are magic and sneak, I forget the specifics, I think the skills setup is different from Oblivion.

Yeah, it's pretty great so far ^_^, although I haven't had much time to play it because my sister's been playing a lot of Mass Effect and I have to write a research paper. :/

Yeah, i jumped to morrowind from oblivion recently aswell. I love morrowind, and i like it better than oblivion(but i'm more of a hardcoe gamer myself, as i only have one sibling that plays very little video games, so i really don't have to share) Morrowind is so much more in depth, i like the fast travel system, and how at even level one, with some careful planning you can find really cool stuff, unlike in oblivion. Morrowind has a much bigger sense of adventure, and i don't even mind the combat(probably because my characters agility is 100 :thumbsup: ) And i can't wait to finish my playthrough so i can start modding like crazy(not rushing my playthrough, just anticipating) My character is like level 22, extremely high(95+) sneak, like 80+ short blade, ect ect. Tons of money from finding expensive items and selling them to creeper(golden saint in grand soul gem :thumbsup: ) Hope you're enjoying it as much as i am.

My first Elder Scrolls game was Oblivion back in 2007. I loved it and squeezed every bit of gameplay out of it and it's DLC. (Xbox, of course) Then a while back I bought Morrowind because people have been saying how great it is of a TES game and I am on the fourth and fifth trials of the Main Quest.

I have to say I am impressed with this game and I'm sure you'll love it.

I remember when I bought Oblivion, I did the same thing, lol. It was also my first Bethesda game hehe ^_^

I wanted Oblivion for years, and fantasized about having it, but never had a PC good enough or an Xbox 360. I ended up getting Morrowind for the Xbox first, then later a 360 with Oblivion for Christmas. Then I got a PC good enough to play Oblivion, and now I just re-got Morrowind in the mail. It's the circle oooof life.

I was in the same boat as you last month. I bought the game and all of it's expansions after playing Oblivion on Xbox 360 for four years. Getting adapted and having a good feel for the game are the hardest at first. Advance a few levels, perform quests, once you get rolling you will not stop. I love Morrowind much more than Oblivion.
