So I'm in Fort Bulwark, on the first lever. Found the lever that's supposed to open a gate that leads to the room with the button to put down the drawbridges, but when I pull the lever, the gate doesn't open, and I can't advance and lower the drawbridge.

Please, if anyone knows how to get past this. I'd greatly appreciate it. I already tried loading a previous save, but it didn't help.
