Does the things you store in the house save ? And can they be stolen?

All containers in a player-owned house are non-respawning as far as I know, so your stuff is safe. No one will come in and steal them. :)

If you are on PC, you can use the console command 'tcl' to go through the floor to get your items back.

For some reason I found this hilarious. Not because it's inaccurate because it's true. I just pictured a knight who lost his sword staring the floor down. "Ya think ya can keep my trusty blade from me do ya? I'll show ya!" and diving through the floor to retrieve his lost blade. Then a journal update. "The floor tried t' swallow me blade but I showed it I was persistent and not to be trifled with. I wrestled it from it's clutches and brought it back."
