This is quite comical, anyone that has given this game a high score clearly hasn't played it. I would have to say something more like 6/10. I think a 40% hit due to playability is a good decrease.

Tbh, have you done much more than start threads complaining about the game? Rather than actually looking at the other threads and putting in your two cents and trying for find more information on the problems to try and give them more detailed information so they can pinpoint the issue. Creating more threads complaining to the devs only (assumably) makes the process of getting the game fixed slower.

Don't take this the wrong way, I'm not defending the devs by any means. I, myself, am not happy with the condition that they released the game in, but I'll still try to gather more information on any bugs I find to try and help get it fixed better.

the game is a game of 9/10 or 9,5/10..... BUT WITHOUT BUGS.....

the bugs (the one that cause near the 50% of the gamers to STOP PLAYING praying for a patch) decrease the vote on the game to 6/10 or also a good 4/10 (if you cannot play it it is not good)

a lot of review are done on release candidate versions of the game and the reviewers are sure that for the release date all mayor bugs will be resolved.

BUT FALLOUT NV is a new experiment you can call it VAULT 121 experiment :

- give a game, a potentially very good game to a group of people.
- close them in a vault
- the game after near 10 hours of game start to be bugged but so bugged that you cannot go on.......
- no patch are available because the game was done by some modders and not by real programmers.
- see how many time will pass before every people closed in the vault will go mad and start killing every one!

I tend to agree.
I have to honestly say that the time I have been able to actually play NV, I have really enjoyed. I wasn't disappointed with anything, really, except the freezing/crashing problem I'm having. As far as the actual game, itself ... story, game mechanics, look and feel, etc. ... I really like it. I know some people don't, but I do. I'm confident that once Obsidian gets the problems worked out, NV will be a truly stellar game. At least, in my opinion but that's a matter of taste.

I read (and it has been proven) that if you sign out of psn the freezing is lessened, hell, I'm actually having no freezes in over 10 hours of gameplay just not being connected to the net while playing this game. Maybe you should try it out.

I had the same experience in my Fallout 3. When i was out of PSN, it ran smoother.

This problem was actually fixed pretty quickly with FO3, within a month of release if I remember correctly, but there were other problems that lasted too long. I hope this isn't the case for NV and they really work on a patch 1.1 instead of this crap 1.01 that was released.
