Morrowind's concept art = feast of imagination

Post » Mon Dec 14, 2009 11:51 am

Just take a look at http://imperial-library.info/content/cover.

I think it's truly AMAZING how much imagination they used in Morrowind's concept art. Some of those are so crazy, that I think they were probably smoking something when they were doing them. Skooma? :D
It's a shame that alot of this imaginary stuff didn't make in to the game.

What are your thought's on Morrowind's concept art?

I wish the final game was so alien and mysterious as on these concepts. These cities, clothing desing, just everything.

Wow! How haven't I stumbled across this before?

It's amazing to see how much effort went in to making Morrowind such an original, awe-striking (and rather eccentric) environment. Anyone who claims that video-games aren't art should take a look at these.

It's interesting that the Sload is in there though, isn't it? I've seen that piece of concept art before, but I never realized it stemmed from Morrowind's development. I wonder how they were planning to implement the Sload? (Here's the http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Lore:Sload if you're interested)

Thanks for sharing! :)
