Your favorite architectural style?

Out of all the different building styles in the game, which one do you like the most?

Personally, I like Redoran manor style best.

Telvanni is what most will say, from the looks of it.

I think the daedric architecture is superior to all, being able to capture an dark exotic look without conforming to hellish stereotypes or looking corny, just brilliant.
I loved crawling through those creepy dungeons.

There's also the architecture of the dwemer, and dumner strongholds, if you want to add more.

Good point - I added those to the poll, as well as Sixth House.

Sixth House? They mainly reside in caves, dwemer ruins and dunmer strongholds. What are you talking about when asking about Sixth house architecture?

All they really have is some pillars, altars, and Akulakhan. :P

So they do not have a tileset. Instead there are a lot of cave styles. Akulakhan's chamber may count towards a sixth house tile set but it's just one model even if the biggest in the game.

I was actually agreeing with you, akulakhan was a joke, I wouldn't count a construct towards architecture.
At the same time I'm not sure we should be so penal about it, while not strictly architectural, they have their own distinct style none the less, whether they only have static objects or a full tileset.

I'd have to say Imperial since it's not too bizarre or grand. It looks nice as is and the game needed some mid-evil type towns anyways since it is like lord of the rings or that kind of fantasy. Kinda like starting out in Seyda Neen, one of my favorite pit stops.

Imperial architecture could be split in fort architecture (imp prefix) and common architecture (com_prefix) . Also I like Velothi interiors most followed by Telvanni and Daedric and Telvanni exteriors most (those towers are spectacular) followed by Redoran and Velothi (Velothi being "Temple")

Glad someone else voted for Imperial as well. :) Maybe it is because the first impression (starting in Seyda Neen for the first time ever), but I like those buildings. Nothing too fancy, but they kind of look like houses and are cozy inside. Not over the top. The same would go with Skaal, but those are kind of boring looking outside. And deifinitely wouldn't wooden houses look like that in that environment. If they did, the people would've frozen to death long ago. :P

Dunmer Strongholds. They always gave me a slight sense of originality, while at the same time being properly functioning as a defensive fortification. Many times I have used one as a base for my characters, utilizing all of the out buildings for various purposes. Love them.

Velothi would be a very close second.
