I wouldn't mind seeing a Unique AMR, but I don't think it should get any more DAM, its already quite powerful. I want a unique Light Machine Gun. :gun:

@46ACP

I think the developers wanted the Death Claws to be something to fear, and I do agree that there are some guns that shouldn't be able to one-shot a Death Claw for any reason.

I believe that the best way to balance the game isn't to just re-adjust the weapon power output, but adjust the enemy/creature health and armor. Critical shots whether sneak or just a random critical should be double the weapon's normal output, because it is a critical shot, more damage was inflicted.

Adjust the Death Claw DT and ammo effect so that anything shy of the .50MG would require AP rounds or at least jacketed rounds, like the .308 JSP.

And I'd adjust the weapons so that the only pistols that could really inflict damage to the Death Claw would be the .44 Magnum/Mysterious Magnum and the hunting revolver/ranger sequoia.

----

But on topic of a Unique AMR, I'd like that and it doesn't necessarily have to have improved power. The unique Gobi Campaign Scout Sniper rile did 2 damage less than the normal Sniper Rifle.

A Unique AMR thats lighter, degrades slower and with a cool texture would be nice.

thethey should have made weapon mods for the AMR, that plus the different ammo types would be enough for me. maybe a .50mg automatic machine gun would be kool.

Most of what you have there is already the case. Most weapons do 100% base damage for crit damage, most pistols don't penetrate the -15DT on a deathclaw, they even had DCs with 30DT when the game first came out. Here's what I see the problems are: DT bypass on bullets that shouldn't have it (.44, .357), no bypass on bullets that should (5mm, 5.56, .308), that stupid extra 2x multiplier on sheak headshots and some weapons crit damage was too high. I have modded my game to fix all of the above, and then some. I'm very comfortable with all of the weapons in my game now, the only exception being my AMR is pretty powerful. Since I can't sneak headshot kill deathclaws with most of my weapons, I might leave the .50 as it is. I'm not sure if even my Brush gun can one shot a DC with wadcutters and Cowboy. I'll have to check that out.

-Gunny out.

i would love more camo weapons. a digital or forest camo AMR would be awesome, even if there was almost no difference

There is a unique anti-materiel rifle, Oliver's equivalent of the Legate's bumper sword, but it was cut.

really? im actually glad, do you have any idea how effin PISSED i would be if they gave you a unique AMR and didnt let you actually do anything with it? lol

a unique AMR good idea but like every one else is saying is true its already powerful enough to the point where its ripping limbs off in one shot 98% of the time... Although on the other hand it could be an AMR camoflauged to blend in with the nevada sand a bit like to gobi campaing sniper but add a bit more power to make it so even a death claw will drop like a 10 tonne weight from a plane but the condition drops like crazy as well to counter act the increased dam of the weapon... just a thought :gun:

I just finished play number 5 with a character that was only allowed to work in .44 magnum and .50 but could only use bullets she made. So as i am working my way across the dam i am using the Trail Carbine for longer shots, and the generic .44 magnum for closer targets when it hit me. I shoot a legionaire center mass with a .44 magnum at no more than 25 feet and he still keeps comming. At this point i am like WTF, calling total [censored] on it because out to 100 feet there is enough ballistic energy in a .44 magnum swc to at least knock him off his feet. You could be wearing a vest or a steel plate (although it would be really heavy) that in theory could catch or stop the round. Regardless you still have ballistic energy to deal with and there is enough at 25 to 100 feet (a .44 magnum has the same killing power as a 30-06 out to 100 feet it does drop off after) that he should have at at the very least been knocked down. They still kept comming though, finally after a restart i stayed with the trail carbine preffering to take my time to shoot only heads, effective but way slower and alot of securitrons and rangers died while i picked shots.

One more point on the play through after a few restarts trying to kill Lanius (the legion leader at the end of the game) i got to his camp and the gate closes, again weirdness but ok. So Lanius comes charging down the hill and i set up a nice shot center mass with the AMR hand load, bang i hit him center mass and again i might as well have been using spit wads for all the effect it had. I had to shoot him 3 more times center mass, clean hits, before he stopped and once more when he was down, (closed casket for you [censored]). I know Lanius bad and stuff but really, 4 AMRs to the chest to kill him seriously? They were on target because i did see some health drop with each round, and not a crit to be had either. It is not a complaint really he still died because i am that good, yea i said it and i meant it :) though set up saved me some skin but even still the fight was closer than it should have been.

I have no problem with serious ballistic adaptations in the game, but it has to mean something, just pilling on massive hit points on an adversary running around of football pads even if they were very pretty and shinny it is still football pads. To make armor thick enough to stop a .50mg hand load would make it so heavy the speed he moves at would be impossible. Again the ballistic energy of a .50 mg bullet caught in your armor is more than enough to knock any human from thier feet and seriously ring thier bell which Lanius seemed impervious to.

Not a gripe but more of an observation, some weirdness to consider.

Not based off of reality. This is an RPG set in an alternate 1950s timeline. You want realism in a game, go play America's Army.

Sorry, but you have to come to the realization that most of the enemies in these types of games are bullet sponges.

would be hilarious if they went the whole fatman/experimental mirv route. unique AMR is a full auto .50 cal sniper rifle with obscene recoil.

Think there should be a unique version of the anti material rifle for example it is gold???

How original.

How many sleepless nights did it take for you to think of that one?
