Just bought an allegedly unopened copy of Morrowind Collector's Edition. Paid $60 USD, which isn't so bad if inflation is taken into account between 2002 and 2011.

Box was not in good shape (crushed), and it has a lot of edgewear, but the seals seemed intact.

However, what has me concerned is what I hear when I rotate the box a bit, like a seesaw. Everything inside is sliding around. I don't have a lot of these special editions for other games (World of Warcraft & Oblivion) but in those I see everything neatly held in place in a tray. Since there's supposed to be a small metal figure in the box, I'm a bit surprised.

May I have confirmation from a fellow fan that the Morrowind Collector's Edition content shipped with its contents loose within the box?

Sounds to me like you just received a resealed box with content missing. Have you opened it?

Crushed... well, it's hard to tell from the lighting I guess... or maybe I'm being too harsh about the condition of the box. To me, it looks like someone put something too heavy on it and crushed it, but not enough to blow out the flaps on the sides. How about I meet you halfway and say that the box has been manhandled?

I have not opened it. I bought this through an auction so I have an option for recourse should something not go well. This is the current condition of the seal:

Ehhh.. that is very hard to tell.

It looks a lot like tape just put on it to reseal it, but there aren't marks that would be made if previous tape were torn off of it. Though you can take tape off without making any markings or taking any paper off of the box, as the seller would have done if he wants to say it is unopened.
