Save #073- 31.53.33 hours played...

Post » Wed Dec 16, 2009 12:58 am

and I am dead in the water. 73 saves, almost 32 hours (just a day shy of a work week) shot. DLC could not be found-type error. Every single save I have checked throws that error.

I am not real happy right now.

that svckS!

i've only played a few hours with minimal problems, but i'm way too scared to continue for fear that my saves will corrupt and i'll be screwed.

I got the DLC error also. Would be nice if it happened earlier in the game but it seems to wait until you have quite a few hours logged. It's a good game and all, but I'm pretty sure I'm done with Bethesda. How can you release a game that is so obviously broken?

agreed. this has shaken my trust with these people; basically it's going to boil down to another Fallout coming out (or not) and everyone's not going to buy it until like a month after release date when they actually test their game.

Couldn't agree with y'all more. I've been gaming since the late 70's (on old Digital Equipment Corp.) machines.
So...thirty years?
I have never seen anything quite like this...though Daggerfall comes to mind, for various reasons. Lol.

I'm hanging this one up for now. Let's see... I got it 00:03 Tuesday morning....if I don't hear anything positive by Monday afternoon, it's going back to Gamestop. That's within 7 days. Store credit is fine by me...

And this is why I'm afraid to go any further than I have already.

It svcks saving money for months to buy a game that is this broken.

Companies need to stop relying on patches. This stuff should've been taken care of before launch. I wish they had pushed it back.

Some people don't have their consoles connected to the internet. What are they supposed to do?

Bethesda needs to start making their own games again.

Lucky for me I deleted the DLC. And not because of the save bug (I didn't know about it at the time), but because it made the game too easy.

Foks who haven't touched tthe DLC (and don't even have internet connections, in some cases, or Live in others) are getting the errors.

I'm betting some kind of flag is set in these saves and the image sorta "forgets what it's looking for". (Like my technical terms?) I can't imagine saves I haven't touched in 30 hours or so going wonky otherwise.
