Vault 15

Post » Thu Dec 17, 2009 11:48 am

This is my first RP, at least for Fallout, so I wanna see how this'll turn out.

Vault 15 was one of the Vaults built by Vault-Tech, and was located in northern California. Like the rest of the vaults, it was part of the Enclave's grand social experiment. It was supposed to stay closed for fifty years, was overcrowded, and contained occupants of extremely diverse ideologies and cultures. The situation caused by the experiment led to a great schism, during which four groups ultimately left the vault to brave the wastes outside. Three of these groups became roving gangs of Raiders: the Jackals, the Vipers, and the Khans.

This is the sign up.
This RP takes place in Vault 15. You play as a Vault resident not long before the groups formed, and during the RP you will have to choose to join one of these three groups. You can also join the group of Vault residents that start the town of Shady Sands, but also get attacked by the other three groups occasionally. You will create one of your own Vault resident, security, doctors, etc. I will place a poll for who plays as the Overseer, as long as there is more than one person. There are only two parts you can have that you don't make on your own.

Thurgood Lewis: Overseer
Asp: Leader of the Vipers

My character sheet:

Name: Gregory Leris

Age: 26

Race: Hispanic-American

Appearance: Meduim-long lengthed brownish-black hair. Brown eyes. Weight: 143 lbs. Height: 5'4.

Clothing/Armor(no overpowered stuff, you're in a Vault, not a warzone): Vault 15 jumpsuit, worn out and torn at ankle area, overlapping Vault boots.

Vault occupation: Resident/Mechanic

Weapons: Carries a switchblade in pocket, consealed pistol in his room's safe.

History: Gregory was born in the Vault. He has hung out with the same friends since childhood. He was bullied as a child, but nobody really bothers him currently. He is skilled with mechanics, and took up the hobby at 17 when his parents' Mr. Handy broke, and attempted to fix it. He figured out the inside and out of the robot and repaired it, afterwards was interested with the sort of job and has been repairing things ever since. He now has his own Vault room, and his own Mr. Handy that he occasionally adds on things to improve it. Has more than once tooken the nickname "Grease monkey".

Personality: Talkative around friends and family. Doesn't like talking much with other people from a different race or culture.

The three groups you can join are the Jackals, Vipers, and Khans. Here is some info to help you make your decision of which you will choose to join.

JACKALS:
The Jackals are your typical group of crazies. They have no morals except one: survival. They use group tactics to overmatch their enemies. They are craven cowards, though, and will not attack unless they know they can win. They band together in their hideaway and fight over the spoils. Normally small family groups, they sometimes join forces against bigger targets. They even bring the women and children along for the hunt. Their advantage is in numbers, not strength. Unarmed, melee, and (if they're lucky) guns. Most have knives and other cutting weapons.
They file their teeth to sharp points, and are proud of their long hair (cutting it is a shameful thing). They became so savage and cannibalistic after a winter storm trapped them and forced them to eat each other, and now that's how they survive. They drop easily, or even run if wounded, but they're just waiting to claim the dead from either side. They don't do this for ghouls or super mutants because they don't taste good. They also generally hate all kinds of mutants.

VIPERS:
The Vipers are mysterious followers of an ancient religion (or so they claim). They usually only come out at night to hunt for food or to conduct raids. They are very ruthless when it comes to combat. They prefer stealth to strength. They usually carry bone knives dipped in Pit Viper venom. This poison, when in the blood stream, paralyzes the victim. Most victims captured in this way are taken back to their hideout. The leader of the Vipers, Asp, conducts their ceremonies and administers duties. The members of the clan will follow his orders even if it meant death. Asp is usually in the same type of bone armor as the others, save he wears a snake skull as a helmet adorned with feathers and snakeskin as a cape.

The Vipers are always dressed in bone armor with a red sash. This armor, as the name implies, is made from strips of bone bundled around the body with strips of leather. All viper clan members have crude tattoos all over their bodies. Exotic piercings are not uncommon. The Vipers usually carry bone knives, bone spears, and sometimes pistols. Their elite warriors are called the Crimson Tongue.

The Vipers hideout, or as they call it "The Shrine," is many small adobe buildings surrounding a large pit. This pit is where they conduct their religious ceremonies. The sacrifices are placed within the pit and several huge Pit Vipers slither out to claim their meal. Although it has never happened, if anyone were to escape the pit, the Vipers would let that individual go, claiming it was the will of the great Snake.

KHANS:
The Khans are a band of brutally vicious and semi-organized raiders with a high survivalist-lifestyle thinking and have adopted a "the strongest rights over the weak" philosophy. They are probably the most dangerous of the three raider groups that originated from Vault 15, the other ones being the Vipers and the Jackals.
The Khans live the lifestyles of Mongol warriors, raiding towns, burning what they cannot take and capturing the survivors for use as slaves. They usually travel in small scouting bands, but sometimes they roam as full war parties. The Khans above all else respect strength. They are eager in combat to prove their worthiness to the clan by engaging in hand to hand combat with fists or clubs. They prefer melee weapons over ranged weapons, although higher-ups carry a few small arms.

You messed up, the Raiders weren't started until AFTER the Vault was re-opened. Also the three Raider groups were the first Raider groups ever started. Just edit up your history a little. You may have leather armor, but just make sure you include Vault jumpsuits at one point or another.

There should be a forth group, the settlement of Shady Sands was actually formed from Vault 15 residents, these were the ones who decided not to join the raider groups.

I know that, but it would be kind of boring being one of the townspeople of Shady Sands. Being a Raider has more things to do, but I guess I'll add the fourth group to be joinable.

Hell ill try it

Name: John Wang
Nick Name: John Wangenstine

Age: 52

Race: Asian

Appearance: Short black hair, 5.6 feet tall and wears glasses

Clothing/Armor: Vault scientist overcoat

Vault occupation: Doctor/Vault eccentric

Weapons: Carries a baseball bat in his room that he actually trains to use to bash peoples heads in with.

History: John Wang was orginally a well known and respected scientist. Before the great war he started a movement to invent a medicince that could permantly make someone immuned to the effects of radiation which earned him the nick name of Wangenstein since people claimed that his knowledge of medicine was like Enstien's math. And after years of research he finally came up with a cure that worked but had a terrible side effect which seemed to transform people into ghouls. Due to this, he immediatley went into hiding where he began work on a way to counter this side-effect and was forced to test on himself. It's rumored that the different drugs eventually ate holes in his brain. He is now considered both crazy and stupid.

Personality: Incredibly stupid, most people in vault 15 wonder why he's even assigned as the doctor. He is also crazy and usually screams out nonsense, and has already killed other vault members.

Nobody is joining.. I think I might have to ditch this idea. I had to search the web all over the place to retrieve this info for Vault 15 but it seems like a total waste. At least 4-6 more people or this is going to have to be locked.

I don't think a vault Rp was a good idea, too many of those, unoriginal.

I see. Still I think you should have done something different, I for one usually don't even look at it if it has Vault in it's name.
