xbox 360 save bug, game breaking bug

Post » Fri Dec 18, 2009 11:09 pm

I have 1-2 save files because that's all I need when I play a game that doesn't svck [censored]. I hope you enjoy wasting your time saving so much with so little played. Won't do you any good.

Riding on 18 hours played now and not a single bug / crash / glitch. Maybe if you think a tiny bit more positively you might get lucky. :)

Sorry, I never read a label anywhere that states "WARNING: Game is very prone to corrupting save files.

Read these forums for 10 minutes and you get a hint.

Save often so you can reload once your game becomes corrupted, although it won't matter when they all become garbage as well.

Also took my own advice and have hard backup saves from every hour stored on an external memory card, how exactly will they be corrupted if the "corruption" is related to a single memory source, I.E the one you are playing on when you get "corrupted", in most cases being the hard drive?

Edit* I have no idea why you are getting angry at me for something that is not my fault.

I just wanted add a new development that made me think about this. Some companies know how to treat their customers. Netflix for example had a server go down the other day. They sent me an email that said OMG you "may have experienced outages of our server for instant view." Whether you did or not they sent a link for a credit for 3% (the amount of time during billing period the server was down) off your next bill.

Hopefully Bethesda would take this as an example of how businesses are supposed to run thing for their customers if they expect them to say loyal to their brand. Unless something big happens soon they have lost me. and I am sure I am not the only one.....

CAN I GET AN AMEN!!!!

One way to find out what file is broken is to try an copy your save files from your hard drive to a memory card. The corrupted files will not let you move them (error sign will pop up) and you delete the file from your hard drive .... at least thats how i fixed my problems with Fallout3 when a corrupted save file broke my game.

This thread is sort of mainly people that have the 'DLC' error... but the error does not even depend on DLC. These files can be moved no problem. It is some inherit bug in New Vegas it seems. Basically its a game ending bug that Bethesda/Obsidian seem to not care too much about.

Just registered to post my story about the bug.
36 hours of play time (Kinda sad, but I've got loads of free time. Most of the time was spent exploring/ doing side quests), 200+ saves (2 main saves, 1 auto save), waaaay past the "Come fly away with me" mission, never entered the strip.
So anyway, I was doing missions for the Atomic Wrangler and ended up getting somone a bit mad, didn't want that outcome so I reloaded my autosave. The game saved in Freeside, right when you go from one half of Freeside to the other. Then I got the DLC missing issue and it messed up all 3 saves. I tried clearing the cache, uninstalling the game, re downloading the preorder DLC. No luck, like the rest of you guys.

Really hoping a patch comes out that resolves the issue, I was REALLY enjoying the game when this evil glitch got me.

Really pissed! Only autosaved until the "Fly me away" quest and then in the room with the spacesuit I decided to make a "real" save so I could try pickpocket that ugly ghoul (jason?) without ruin the game if it went wrong. Well... i bet that if I hadent made that savefile and loaded the game I would be fine with just my autosave... but now I justed pissed becouse I had all saturday and sunday to play this game all night long!

Multiple saves seem to screw others to so I bet alot of players don′t even bother to try again. It′s kinda funny that one of the biggest game 2010 just collecting dust 3 days after release... NOT!

Hope for a quick solution... lucky us Fable 3 is out really soon... sooner than the fix maybe?
