On february 3, 2268, eight Talon Company Mercs were sent to a complex fallout shelter to search for missing members. The missing members were sent to scavenge what was left of the place, but they haven't come back and they haven't been communicating. The fallout shelter was rather large, had twenty different rooms and two different levels including a sewage line below. The following tape were found.

Today chief told us to go check out some fallout shelter. It's somewhere near the D.C. ruins. We're heading out tomorrow. Chief is sending us because some of our guys haven't come back. Appearently, we gotta find them.

We've made it to the shelter. A few ferals waited for us at the entrance. We took them down, no problem. God, I don't know if we should be here. There's alot of blood on the walls.. Damn, we just got attacked by a couple of ferals. We were able to hold them off, but one bit George, our ammo boy in the arm. George is bleeding pretty bad, but we wrapped up the wound. He'll be fine. I haven't been able to get any sleep since the attack. Right now, we're in the first room of the shelter. The entrance is in a hallway, and the hallway leads to this room. We're moving on tomorrow. God, I need some rest.

Randy just woke us up. He's our team captain. We gotta get moving along now. It's really dark in this old shelter. There's only a few lights. All the lights we've come upon are dim. So far we've found nothing. The ghouls from yesterday were the only things to make note of so far. Damn, gotta go. Captain says it's an order.

Man, it's not safe down here at all. We just got attacked by glowing ones. Aw, [censored].. Jerry's dead. He was one of our two medics. They ripped him apart.. Oh [censored], man. I don't wanna end up like him. I feel bad for George, he had to retrieve ammo from Jerry's corpse, poor kid. The ferals tore his [censored] head open, Jesus.. I can't even talk about it, I have to go..

Should I go on?

I generally don't like the tape stories, because you can't add detail, like so and so looks like this. For some reason though, I actually like this, don't know why. I would like it if you kept it coming.

Short, Make it a Bit longer and perhaps add some descripition of what is going on...

Alright, we're moving on. If we keep feeling bad about what happened, we'll never find those guys and get out of here. Right now, we're walking through the third room. Previous room was nothing but pipelines. This room right now, is really bloody. Hand prints, splats, puddles of blood fill the room. Pretty sick if you ask me. I know it's dangerous to record while exploring this place, but I want people to know what it's like in here when I get out. I want people to know of the things we've seen. There are a few skeletons in here, they look really old. There's a dead body right in front of me. Looks like the guy was tortured. I wonder if- wait, the corpse is moving.. Holy [censored] he's not dead!
(a few yells are heard in the backround, the holotape sounds as if it were dropped. there are gunshots, but the rest of the recording is scratched and unplayable.)

Damn, I had to stop recording. The thing was a feral, it acted as a dead body to fool us. I guess the ferals are somewhat smart. Somewhat. Just to make sure he doesn't come back.. (two gunshots are heard, followed by a sound similar to that of a watermelon exploding.) Bastard. Nobody was injured, but we had to run back a little. The thing wouldn't die. We are currently passing this room into a hallway. Jesus it's dark.. I can barely see. (moves away from tape)Hey, Ralph, pass me a light.(comes back) Sorry 'bout that, had to get a light. Damn, the light doesn't go much further. Almost out of memory on this tape, I'll have to come back to this later.

Alright, no action so far. The hallway was all clear. Just a few busted pipes. We are in room number three, this is the main hall. A few couches, a coffee table, rug on the floor. There's a radio on the table.. But it doesn't work. In the corner is a small cooking area, a refrigerator, stove, and counter. What do we have in the refrigerator.. Nothing. Nothing in the stove either. Alright, so here's the fork in the road. Three doors, but where do they lead? The first one has a sign that says 'Medical Room'.(pause) It's locked. (moves away from tape) Hey, anybody know how to pick locks?(comes back) Alright, we'll be busy for a bit. Gonna start a new log later.

Alright, we just got this badboy open. This room is alot darker than the others. I'd describe it, but I can't see past one meter in front of me. Alright, I found a stretcher.. There's a skeleton on the stretcher. The medical table is empty. There's a.. My God... There's a body hanging from the ceiling. Headless, has one leg, looks like there's chew marks all over the body.. Christ. This is disgusting. This isn't one of our guys, the person was wearing a suit. Crap.. The blood is fresh.. There were people here recently. What in the hell.. Something's in the corner. Oh [censored].. It's a feral.. It hasn't noticed us, I think it's a deaf one. Slowly.. Back.. Away... [censored] it saw me! AAAH! (tape is dropped) Get off me! Get the hell off me!

[censored] man.. The thing, back in the medical room attacked me.. It bit the hell out of my arm.. God, this hurts like a [censored].. The medic could barely stop the bleeding. They thought I was going to die. I did too.. I can't sleep.. This hurts so much.. They're telling me to get over it, but they just don't understand. Damn, I need a drink, something to calm me down. I'm going to try and get some rest..

I like it. Its hard for to stay focused when I'm reading a story, but my mind doesn't wander when I'm reading this, though I would like it to be longer.

I like it. Its interesting. I usually read part of a fanfic and than leave it, but i think i like this because I like Talon Comp. alot

Randy woke us up again. Why does he always wake us up early? Damn.. My arm is going numb.. It's already pale. Well, anyways.. Entering room number five, now. Another hallway. Must be the sleeping quarters. So, room six is the first door here. For once, a lighted room. A bed, some drawers, and a closet. There's nothing in here. What's in the closet.. Man.. The people who lived in this shelter are most likely dead. There's a skeleton in the closet, must've been hiding. But, from what? The guy had a pistol and a pack of bullets. What's this.. He left a note. I'm guessing it's a note to whoever finds it. Well, it reads:

How could this have happened? I thought we were safe. We lived here for so long, why'd it happen now? They're all dead.. My family, my friends. Those.. Monsters.. Attacked us. They broke through the door somehow. If only we were prepared. I can't let them kill me like they did my family.. I can already hear them outside the closet.. I won't let them get to me, never!

That's all on the note. Telling by the pistol and the blotch of blood on the paper, I'd say he shot himself. This 'event' didn't happen recently, maybe a year ago. The blood is dried out and the handwriting looks old. Maybe this place was like a miniature Vault, eh? Just without a fifteen ton door. I'd better shut this off, the memory on this tape is dying out. Just like the human race..

Sorry for only one tape recording, but that was the length of three of them. Hope you enjoyed it though.

Once again, I would've liked it longer, but still good. Also you should put the note in italics, to minimize confusion.

I find it hard to belive that a Talon marc would say those words.

The main character is basically just like any other Wastelander, except he's with the Talon mercs. I'm saying the only reason he joined is for the caps, and one less enemy in the Wasteland.

By the way, anybody ever wonder how Talon mercs are recruited?

I've always wonder how they recruite people,considering that they shoot on site at everthing even if your karma is really low.

So true, I guess some guy sat down and started his own 'gang' similar to the Tunnel Snakes at first, then his two other buddies thought it would be uber cool to name the gang the Talon Company Mercs. First, they only accepted a few people at a time. Then they stole babies. Those babies grew up to be Talon mercs, and they stole more and more babies. (The reason I say they steal babies is because their flag is a hawk/eagle with a skull, and in its talons is a baby as if it were stealing it.)

Alright, so we're heading to the twelfth room. The other six previous rooms were just bedrooms. This next room is a bit unusual, its some sort of power plant, I guess I could say. Well, this is where the other rooms get the power for lights and all that stuff. This entire area down here is flooded with water. The water is knee-high. This may be the darkest room of the entire place, there are no lights whatsoever. There are pipes lining the entire place. Oh, well, looks like I found the power box. (pause) I flipped the switch, but the entire thing's burnt out. Must be from all this water, I'm sure some of this water had to get to the electrical wiring. Alright, so over here we hav-(tape is dropped)

Sorry about that, I tripped over something. The tape fell in the water and, well, you probably know. But what I tripped on is beyond me. I'm feeling through the water, but I can't feel anything I could've tripped on. Wait a second.. Oh.. Oh my God.. Looks like we found the guys we were looking for.. Oh damn, damn it! They're dead, all of them.. Randy, George, everyone. I'm the only one that ran fast enough.. We were ambushed by the reavers, they all came from under the water.. I had to drop my guns, I had to! Now I have no lights, no guns, just me and my knife.. I don't know if I should try running or just kill myself. God.. I.. I can't kill myself.. If I'm going to die, I'm going to die trying. If this is the last tape, don't be surprised, I'll probably be dead.

Oh my God.. I.. I'm really here!! I'm at the front door of the fallout bunker.. I'm a door away from freedom.. The door is opening... GAH!! The light burns!!! (voices from backround next) "Holy [censored]! I think it's a ghoul!!" (gunfire, then silence) "Oh, it was just a Talon merc. Dumb bastard. Autumn will be glad to know that we refuse to go in the damned bunker. I respond to Eden, not that asswad."

End of story. In case you guys didn't figure it out, the Enclave killed him at the end. They were going to check out the bunker and didn't know the Talon company got there first. They killed the main char. thinking he was a ghoul.
