I'm nearing the end of Dead Money and am at a point where I decide what I have to carry on me or if I can just store stuff and come get it later.

My question is, after you complete the main mission does it return you to the Villa? If so, can you return to the Sierra Madre casino as well and explore it again (although I'm sure limited to certain areas) and gamble or pick up stuff left behind?

When you finish the main quest, you are returned to the villa. You can go back to any area except the vault. But when you return to the mojave, you cannot revisit the Sierra Madre.

there is a bin next to the gateway to the mojave wasteland, when i did dead money i stored all of my equipment and it worked for the whole dlc

There're bins all over the place, but I used the one East of the Vera hologram centerpiece (fountain). It's stocked with stuff. However my concern was with all the stuff I've mustered together from inside the casino which I store in a wardrobe to the right of the entrance.

dont store any cards in the containers! they'll disappear if you store your Caravan Cards in some kind of container (really annoying bug)

I know that cards dont weigh anything so you dont have to store them, but when I stored all my stuff in a suitcase I accidentally put my cards in the suitcase too, and now I lost them

before I went into the casino I just dropped anything that wasn't needed inside that had weight next to the fountain. After I returned it was still there.
