Merchant containers

My goal is to add new items to the selection of certain merchants and change those items once in a while.
The simplest way seems to give those merchants a locked container they own and insert leveled items in the container. But I still have quite a few interrogations.

If I set the container as organic & respawn, the leveled items would basically reroll every few months (same time as the plants/supply chests). Is that right? But wouldn't the leveled items already reroll after 3 days, like dungeon loot? Can my leveled items still reroll if I set them to limited value like 5 instead of -1 for example? If I use the 2 calc options with a % of chance none, it should give the container a few items of the list but not all of them. Is that correct?

I'm currently looking at Sandman's H.E.L.L.U.V.A. Merchant Containers and the Mod Maker Manual to understand how it all works, but a little bit of guidance from a fellow modder would be great.

N...Narp. Unless the box was organic (everytime i say that word i think of Store Wars.... :bonk: )

If you did this, then 5 things would be randomly generated and respawn every ~month (slowwww). But wouldnt just changing it to -5 be a better option? This means that everytime you buy something, it instantly regenerates a new item (depending on whats in your level item thing).

.. unless this isnt what you want...

If you want items that randomly change over time, but at a slow, more realistic rate (as in a merchant dealing with more than just one customer: you) then theoretically if you put (say) 5 leveld item things in an organic container, then i think it should change the contents every month... ive never tested something like that before... :brokencomputer:

Try it and see :hubbahubba:

Excellent! I'll be able to expend the merchants stock like I wanted.

Thanks, Psycholex.
