I do like that automatic rifle, though I'm finding myself liking the cosmic knife.

The Holorifle, because it's an interesting weapon.

I really liked the Holorifle, and its scope came in handy for targeting destructible speakers, but I ended up using either a Bear-Trap Fist or Knife Spear in addition to chop off a limb or the head from the Ghost People since the HR by itself doesn't keep them down. I also wanted to save on MFCs, since they're the only ammunition type of those used in the DLC that is not purchasable from the vending machines and as such is strictly limited in supply. I did end up with a lot of it after sacking the resort itself, but by that point I no longer have use for it in the DLC as I've already killed everything.

The Automatic Rifle made for a good regular-use ranged weapon, although I ended up spending a goodly amount of chips on more .308s as I kept converting them to hand-loads.

The Bear-Trap Fist was good against the GP, but they don't have much in the way of DT or DR so I'm not sure it would be as useful outside the DLC.

I am mainly a guns guy and I love the fact that you can craft your own ammo. That, paired with the BAR, owns everything in the game with the JSP ammo you can craft. Firing out of VATS means when you get a critical strike all successive shots will be criticals. I wonder if it suffers the same damage modifiers the Sniper rifle does? Still it doesn't matter. Use Raul with his Full Maintenance perk and it degrades slowly (comparatively to without).
