Yeah, I thought the same thign when I read Viranus's book. My char was hurt, she had long been in love with him and then finds out he was perhaps not all that into her.

sixuality in hidden in pockets all over the game. The only brazen homosixual thing I've noticed was the armorer in Bliss (cant remember these fangled orc names :P )
....

I didn't mention Dumag gro-Bonk because he didn't seem to be homosixual.

Instead he was delusional. He though he was a beautiful lady.

...The story of the Dontons is quite sad. One of the most... crushing... discoveries of any quest line. Except perhaps the discovery of Lucien's fate, but when I play as an assassin, I'm rather detached from people, so it was more of a 'meh' moment for me. :P...

The last words in his final diary entry are extremely sad.

Lucien on the other had was not sad, not even meh. It was a jump for joy moment. He got what he deserved and openned the way for my characters advancement!

OT: Hey Punk - you are doing a great job at controlling your thread! :goodjob:

Agreed.

I've never seen that, that's really cool. I always play as a female, but my fiance says that male NPCs say suggestive things to his male character.

I find with my male characters the NPCs seem suggestive/hatefull depending on whether I'm good or evil. I also notice that when you are the champion of the arena almost everyone hits on you.

not sure exactley where but playing as a theif and breaking into peoples homes and just general quarters (mages guilds, fighters guilds) will usually yeild the find of a double bed and every now and then you can find 2 same six people in said bed

As someone said, some things are open to interpretation. :) The guild double beds are not "owned" so anyone can sleep in them, which is why you will get some same six pairings sometimes. Same in some of the Guard halls. I know my very pretty young Breton woke up appalled to see that Vigge the Cautious had bedded down with her at some time in the night. As IF!!

I think Gromm had a thing for Baenlin as well, though that may have been unrequited. He sure was grief-stricken after certain events took place. Careful where you hang your trophy Minotaur heads, folks. :D

But you're failing to take into account the rest of Tamriellic history and culture.

Yes, in medieval times it was fairly common. Though it really peaked in the times of the Greek and Roman empires. But there are different 'cultural norms' for the people of Tamriel, as well as a different societal past.

Well alot of the greeks and romans were actully really gay/bisixual. So that's something different. What I was saying is that it was normal in medieval times to say to another man he is beautiful, without having sixual feelings for him.
In my opinion those quotes have no homosixual meaning at all.

im surprised no one has said this yet:

what about in the persuasion mini-game where you have the 'Admire' part, and lots of guys in the game will prefer it......I am fairly sure complimenting another mans hair repeatedly isnt the most straight thing....

I"ve said it before and I'll say it again: You can get quite an education by staying awake all night in the Skingrad MG. Vigge and Erethor... Only one who stays out of the whole thing is the Argonian.

Yeah everytime I sleep in a co-owned bed I feel like my character will be violated. Full daedric armor not a good enough chasity belt for them?!? It doesnt help that I paralyze my character so he lies on the bed though...

Note: I did not mean to be rude to anyone with the above so if someone sees it as offensive I am sorry.

There have been a few... less than savory... comments in this thread so far.

Please, do not offer opinions on the subject, present stereotypes, or anything else that could be deemed offensive. I know I'm going out on a limb here, but I know this community is capable of having an advlt conversation.

Only offer opinions on what evidence there is of homo- and bisixuality found explicitly in the game.

We are not here to discuss anything but that. You are free to express your opinions on the matter-- elsewhere.

I honestly can't see a way to make that offensive, but man people sure do work hard at feeling offending so they can claim to want to "keep the peace" in a situation that already is calm...

ever notice that the weapons master in the fighters guild in Chorral always spends the night with the owner of the Blacksmith shop? And they're both women.

Wouldnt' that be the one with the buzz cut and the blacksmith's pants and shirt?

Oh....... wait a minute.........

:D

*Edited partly because I fear the wrath of Punk (really-- I was just funnin' and I hope the above couldn't be offensive to anyone) and partly because I thought of something to add to something I mentioned earlier:

I still wonder about Shum gro-Yarug. He just seems way too enthusiastically friendly for an Orc, and that whole "Orc Social Club" thing just makes me think of a New York City bathhouse. And I got to wondering-- maybe he's unhappily in the closet, has an unrequited love for Graklak gro-Buglump, and that's why he throws himself off the bridge to the castle?

Or..... uh....... maybe not. :D
