Is that the only way? I already bought the game.

so you bought the disc in stores when you clearly dont have a thing to put it in your computer?

Ohh ok. well then the only way to get it since your computer doesnt have a thing that takes discs is to buy it off of steam. You could return the game also and get your money back.

As long as you already had the game activated on Steam on your other computer, all you have to do is log into your Steam account and download it to your new computer. You don't have to buy it again.

If I were you, I'd just buy a drive and install it - if it's a desktop, you can get a decent internal drive for less than you'll pay to download New Vegas off Steam. If it's a laptop, you can buy an external USB drive for it. It'll cost more (around $70 - $80), but it'll be a very useful thing to have anyway, for more than just playing games.

Also, the new Vegas download is huge - about 5 GBytes IIRC. If your ISP limits your data usage, that could get real expensive quickly.
