Hey, there have been quite a few postings from people that have created their own libraries.
I'm a reader.

If you have something out, or if there is something of progress, could you the writers kindly point people in the right direction.

Uh, well... I did ONCE submit a poem to a poetry contest, and got it published in a book.

Then I discovered that I had submitted my poem to PublishAmerica, and now I don't talk too much about that poem.

So I guess yes but no. However, right now I AM working on a short story that's going to be part of an anthology that I'm going to publish seriously. PM me if you want to see a copy.

I too have written several novels. All of which were picked up by a publisher and never published. Mainly because they were never finished.

Both my wife, and my wife's cousin have been begging me to finish my books so they could read them. Unfortunately, I haven't had the motivation nor the time to do so.

Well, thats not entirely true. I have the motivation. Just not the time.

All of my novels center around one organization, but several different military "units" each one has their own history, and story. Each novel ties in with the one before it and the one after it. Then, I had written one "prequel" to the entire basis of the organization.

I 've had tons of ideas that would be great for books but I never have the motivation at the right time. Oh, and being the [censored] I am, I never wrote some of them down so they're lost in the cobwebs of my mind forever.

I must admit... 'twas not mine. But it popped into my head for some strange reason.

Right now I'm trying to piece together a story. Unfortunately, it's almost identical to Avatar and I was thinking of it before I even saw a trailer for that movie. But I don't care because I don't intend the story to be published.

I haven't started writing it yet but in my story Dwarves are colonizing lands which are mountainous and lots of huge forests. The humans are based on natives in Canada and USA. So my setting is based on BC. The story takes place in a large native village where the chieftain lost his family years ago by a warlike tribe years ago. He's the creator of the village and has a new family but very much favors his original one. He has 3 sons. One of which is the protagonist.

The village is based on a river and on the other side of the river lies a dwarf village. There is some friction between the villages but everything seems peaceful. Our hero respects the dwarves but thinks they are rather disgusting. Unfortunately for him, his younger brothers are employed as a dwarf blacksmiths apprentices, which bothers him because he feels they don't appreciate their own human culture.

But this peaceful settlement is about to be caught in a war. The dwarf colony leader declared himself king and he is bat [censored] crazy. He wants to enslave the inferior humans and is sending out his heavily armoured dwarf soldiers and destroying human villages and claim land. But coming from the mountains, endless hordes of nomadic warlike humans, the same group who killed the chieftain's family earlier, arrive and they want to wipe out the dwarf race and any human who oppose their ideologies. The king may be desperate enough to recruit some human natives to combat this threat. But our hero does not trust him but his brothers do since they are accustomed to the dwarf way of life.

So our protagonist is faced with a difficult decision on who to side with. He could join the dwarves' army with his brothers with a risk that they could be fodder or become slaves after they served their purpose or he could join the nomads against his brothers to save his people but their way of life could change.

I'm still coming up with ideas for my story. Just piecing it together.

I'm currently in the brainstorming and development stage for a science fantasy universe. I've been thinking about it for a few weeks now... Once this ends, I should begin writing my book quickly. It will probably start out as a short story. Then I will rewrite it and expand. And then again. Until it fits my length requirement.

The setting is a vast solar system torn apart by several hundred factions with the main military forces subdivided into two separate alliances engaged into a war for wealth. The setting itself is a lightweight WWI parable, with a few key differences between the two.

The story follows a secret black-ops squad assigned to retrieve a top military official held hostage by the Blobs. (Note: I do not have names worked out yet, so I'm using placeholders) They retrieve the official, but after finding out he is secretly a spy for the opposing faction and is merely using this cover to relay secret plans for a self-sufficient nuclear fusion battleship engine that Glib engineers have constructed as a solution to a lack of resources. And that's as much as I can say as of right now.

I wrote a novel, but it was bad. Now I'm working on a better one, but more effort means world-building, a compilation of info and lore that I will never, ever finish.

Yes, I'm currently writing a short novel. No, I won't elaborate at the present time.

Fascinating how do you communicate using the forums. You must be tired all of the time. Poor soul.

In progress trying to write a book. I have about 50 pages. I HAD 400... but it was lost and I had to start from scratch. I have to link it up to the next 400 pages I have, and then after that for the third arc I have a 128 pages. The problem is me finding the motivation to write it all again, and more importantly sighing up for university has had me preoccupied.

My dad co-authored a book, it's called "Words and Arms: A dictionary of Security and Defense Terms." Somehow, I don't think that's what you were looking for.

I've got about 9 unfinished books, from a couple chapters to one or two that are almost complete but rough drafts. Mostly horror.

Procrastination and Incompletion are both art forms to me

Thanks, same goes to you, cool sig. Horror is a great genre, especially since people really seem to get grossed out once you rip off that annoying skin and stretch it between two trees to make a hammock.

I finished a final essay today. Does that count?

No books, though I've been working on a comic series over the last two years. Nothing published yet, once I get my material copyrighted I'll post them on deviant art. It takes place on a post apocalyptic and steam punk earth after all human civilization is gone.
