Anyone who isn't in the United States. There would be no super mutants, no big ass scorpions, no power armored bad guys... And especially in Europe the society would be reconstructed rather well, assuming that common European nationalism remained in existence. Since Europe seemed to be a minor belligerent in the War, it could have done very well. (Especially traditionally neutral countries, like Finland, Austria, Sweden or Switzerland)

Um Im not sure about this but the EU collapsed and they nuked each other I think

I think the people who are willing to do anything to survive. Would survive.... Really the worse threat to us humans would be other humans. I think the people that survive in the Prison system have a really good chance at survival. They know how to quickly defend themselves and how to quickly make deadly weapons. They also know how to manipulate people through psychology and force.

Some guy might not know if that plant by the river is safe to eat, but he can force some other person to eat it for him.

I reckon really depressed people with nothing left to lose would survive the post-apocalyptic wasteland because they wouldnt care that the world as we know it was gone

Hmm, high ranking politicians and their families, the super rich dynastic families and lots of military types, kind of like a proto enclave.

I would think that libertarian survivalists would do very well; they tend to be very paranoid, and stock up on food and ammo pretty consistently, always prepared for the worst. I also think that conservatives from more rural areas would do very well, as they tend to have very tight-knit communities, are more charitable/religious, and many of them have served in the military. Soldiers at military bases would likely be best off, unless of course they were a target of the attack.

As I do most nights, I lay awake and think about random things....Why do hamsters have pancakes on their heads....what kind of accent would a squirrel have.....(and after watching 5 straight hours of Gangland on the Hist. Chan) What kinds of groups in our society, could you see thriving in the universe of pipboys, FEV mutants, and power armor? I dunno if anyone will like this thread...or if someone will say something which will lock it...BUT, after you see that show, or watch people when you go to the grocery store, you will start to wonder this too!

Anyone not in a secret goverment agency can survive in FO.

Seriously though, the lucky, the fortunate, the smart, and the strong.
Raiders ( gangs ) would not last that long as they tend to fall on themselves when things get tough.
I would say small defensible towns who have access to food and medicine, while being far enough away from major settlements.
But only as long as food and habitants last, once they are gone it would be a slow decline untill you get places like FO3, without the canibals.
