Will we be able to listen to our own music?

Post » Wed Dec 30, 2009 5:32 am

I have about 75 songs on my PS3, all of which i want to be listening to as i shimmy of a rusted ship. Unfortunately I've discovered that VERY few of my games allow me to listen to my my own music as i play, and each of those games never allow me to online. I was just thinking I'de push the music factor. I did see "freeplay" on the supposed main menu which would be awesome with Pendulum (look it up on youtube) And even story mode will be more awesome (Of coarse it will!)
So just saying SPLASH DAMAGE should look at this small easy to do thing
PS: Brink is going to be FREAKING EEEPPPIIIICC!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Huh, well this is one idea I actually like. I think it'd be a nice idea to completely waste guys while listening to Crazy Train, personally.

Would be nice. Brink doesn't seem to really have music anyway during the game.

I see how this would be nice fore PS3 players. Xbox 360s have a music player system that you can use whenever, and PC players can use iTunes, Last.fm and other programs.

I'm on Xbox, so I don't need it. But it would be nice for my Playstation brothers I suppose.

Blood Sugar's a bomb song.

OT: I don't have that problem (X-box 360 FTW? :P) but I support it whole-heartedly :3.

Well if you were getting it for the Xbox or PC. You wouldn't have that problem.

Agree, Blood sugar really rocks.
Err, I mean, your music ingame would be a nice addition. I don't see why it shouldn't be supported.

Score, but do it with class please. if the game relies heavily on communication, make the game sound and music fade when the PTT is keyed. That way you don't have a bunch of deaf brink fans from the inevitable squelch troll.

I do sometimes play games like TF2 with music playing on my PC in some ways it helps you by pumping you up and in other ways it can hinder you by diminishing sound cues you may need to know when you are in danger. So I use music most of the time but you just have to pay more attention and as others have said don't play music and use a mic at the same time it's annoying.

Oh man totally awesome idea! one of the things you can add to your person is a MP3 player (mostly for consoles since PCs can just play media player in the backgrounds) and when you wear it you can have a playlist and it plays the stuff on their during the fights.

Man is it gonna be BADASS when I'm running along, listening to Vox Pupuli, Kings and Queens and This is War by 30 Seconds to Mars as I jump over another wall and blow somebodies head off.
