Did Anyone have an Imperial character?

Post » Tue Dec 29, 2009 9:38 pm

Ive had a bunch of them, and the reason is addition by subtraction. I always have a hard time picking what I want my character to be. I rarely play a straight up mage thief or warrior. The Imperials are undirected. They arent super great or super bad at anything so they make good hybrids.

My main character is an imperial, im hoping to make somthing more interesting now which i have and im starting to play,

but he is

Race: Imperial
Birthsign: Warrior
Class: Titan, Combat, Strength + Endurance
Heavy armour, Armourer, Blade, blunt, Block, Athletics, Acrobatics

he is level 25 with full enchanted daedric armour and weapons 96 heavy armour almost master 73 blade ect.

i dont even know why i chose and imperial, i think it was because of their looks and the fact that cyrodil is their home region

anyway after about level 6 he clearly PWND ( i play on middle difficulty 50%) and now at 25 i kill guards in 3 hits? which i think is pretty good,

I made an Imperial agent when I decided to rp the Further Adventures of Caius Cosades. Later realised I should've been a monk, but it was a really fun character to play nonethless, all spycraft and illusion magic.

You're probably going to complain about my Dunmer Nun, too! :whistling:

 Dunmer can be nuns... of a cult devoted to the worship of Dibella through physical representation.

Yes, my first character was a Bosmer, but the first character I played who completed the Main Quest was an Imperial, named Luther Martinus.

Imperials do not have any outstanding combat abilities from the start, nor do they start with particularly good magic stats. However, a combination of high Speechcraft, Mercantile, Personality and the Voice of the Emporer power makes them very useful in haggling. You can often get about 10% more gold with this skill set than with, say, a Khajiit with no charm skills. Very useful. People like you more too, which makes them more likely to intervene on your side in a fight.

Later on, stats aren't really that important because your level bonuses and access to enchanted gear far outweigh their influence. So Martinus is pretty handy in combat at Level 10.

Plus, I realy agree with Acadian and others that, from a roleplaying pont of view, it is better to pick on the basis of looks and a backstory for your character than stats.

Unfortunately Brutonius' career came to a premature end when I accidentally made him eat a deadly poison apple and saved afterwards, not knowing of the true horror of what I'd done. No spell or potion could cure him and he died. Tragic. I sort of miss him as he was a fun character.

Epic Fail!

I'm into studying the relationships between dogs and humans

I sincerely hope that doesn't involve anything disgusting or illegal.

this

Trivial starting bonuses are of little importance to me. I just like the Imperials as a race and I love their history, so I always play as an Imperial in Oblivion. The males of the race have powerful voices, as well.
