Your favourite Storyline

I recently restarted playing Oblivion and have forgotten most of it but what is your favourite quest for it's storyline?

As far as a single quest goes (vs a questline), and as far as storyline goes (vs the things you do to complete the quest), I'd say my favorite quest is an undocumented quest that does not appear in your journal. But I can't say much more than that in the general forum.

Lifting the Vale is another good storyline, and I think I could mention the name of that quest here.

Theives Guild by far has the best story line, and if u can survive the jump without the boots of springheel jack on then you will get those too, they have +50 acrobatics on them :) , you also get the cowl of the grey fox which you can have a lot of fun with, the storyline is just great. but for a single quest, Sins of the father and lifting the vale :)

Lifting the Vale is good, mainly (imo) due to how you discover things. It's not sput right there for you to solve (like 99% of quests).

TG's as mentioned above is pretty decent; also, to my surprise the main quest has a particular stage that involves you decyphering a puzzle. Its resolution is very nice, the kind of stuff I hope belongd to more than just 1% of quests in TES.

Some of the Daedric Shrines are also cool. I also liked one that you had to collect ancient statues. Yes. Collecting them is not the point, is where you go to find them (the most interesting structures in O).

But mind you, I was far from finishing the quest, sowait for more experienced dudes to tell you.

I like the way The Ghost Ship of Anvil ties in with the DB story, but without that, it's not much on its own. Caught in the Hunt probably has the best storyline for a single quest. Canvas the Castle is a close second, but the quest itself doesn't come up to the story's promise. And Bittneld and Emfrid should have been a good story, but it didn't happen.

My favourite quest... I don't know, there's so many. Probably I'd go for the Thieves Guild. But as for single quests, some like Caught in The Hunthave great storylines.

Caught in the Hunt does have an excellent story. I forgot about that one. I'll add that to Lifting the Vale and the unmarked quest I mention above.

I like breaking the siege of Kvatch (when you are actually in Kvatch) and Caught in the Hunt, and the last quest in the "The Collector" mini series

I'm particularly fond of a certain Dark Brotherhood quest known as Whodunit...

I would have to go with The Collector, Nothing You Can Possess, and Secrets of the Ayleids.

Yes - Caught in a Hunt, now I remember it. Add this one to the list of good quests.

... Caught in the Hunt probably has the best storyline for a single quest. ...
I would agree with this for single quest.

I would have to go with The Collector, Nothing You Can Possess, and Secrets of the Ayleids.
Similarly, this takes top honors for a series of quests, although I adore Mazoga's quests as well.

As far as a big questline, I have to say the Thieves Guild - because ultimately it's a nice love story.

I am a big fan of the Collector questline, and of the last four of the Thieves Guild quests. But I think I will have to go with http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Oblivion:Lich_of_Lost_Boy_Cavern. I love the story that you slowly uncover as you delve deeper and deeper in the caves.

definatly the shivering isles main quest.

its much darker than the vanilla MQ.

The battle for passwall when the crystals are erupting from the earth is just epic.

Really enjoyed the thifes Guild Questline.
I especialy loved the Big heist at the end and was glad to get a house in the IC as a reward, even if it is on the waterfront.

The Collector is a fun and interesting questline. I think that most of the quests and questlines in Oblivion are great for that matter...

I recently did Glarthir's quest (Paranoia) after avoiding the poor man on so many previous playthroughs and it is very well written. He's a very funny and compelling character. (Although that quest is a PITA if you have 100% vampirism.)

I also like the Dark Brotherhood questline, from the very beginning to the end.
