Trainers exclusive leveling

Post » Thu May 26, 2011 8:56 pm

Greetings,

Is it possible to use trainers exclusively for the purpose of leveling.

Well, it is possible as long as the game is modded accordingly (disabling xp gained on use). But I wonder if it will be balanced.

Balanced as in "I won't level too fast or too slow" in a modded/vanilla game.

Someone tried this?

EDIT: Humm. This probably should have been in Oblivion general discussion..

As long as you can find a mod that removes the training "cap" of 5 sessions per character level and you manage to find enough gold to pay for the training sessions then sure, it's definitely possible to level only by training.

The training cap is per level? I though It was per skill.

Yikes! I'll have to mod this also!

Overall cost for training everything is around 1 000 000 septims. Is it something too easy to get in Oblivion?

I really never understood the cap to be honest. It's one of the only things I've ever considered modding. It simply doesn't make sense to me. "You payed me for five sessions to train this skill. I want you to practice it on your own and not give me any money." ???

Cap is where for three reasons I think, balance: harder get 3*+5 attribute increase every time you level up, to protect players who don’t understand the levelling system from screwing up their character. But mostly because many people complained that the unlimited training in Morrowind made the game to easy.
Training is most valuable at high level as most skills except the four combat skills are easy to raise yourself at low level.
