Riley's Rangers: Dead Brick

Post » Fri May 27, 2011 12:32 am

Did Riley's Rangers quest and Brick died in the firefight exiting the Statesman Hotel so I resd her. How do I find which part of the queststage to change so that the debriefing report to Riley does not give the "Sorry about Brick" choice . I have no saves at The Statesman so I can't go back and replay it :banghead:
When I use the setstage (quest id) in the console it only shows the different stages of the quest and setting status (0 or 1). I'm not sure which one to change for all the rangers to have survived.

I'm on 360, but I let Brick die. She's the only one I don't give any ammo to, then she dies, and I take Eugene and one Ranger Armor from her. Then I go get a second Ranger outfit for a follower as my reward.

How DARE you let the coolest female character in F3 die?! :flame:

Sorry, though. Can't help you since I don't use mods. I think you still get the same rewards if a ranger dies, though.

You want to set the variable BrickDead in the MS18QuestScript to 0. I'm not sure how to do achieve that with the console though.

It probably won't work but you could try:

set MS18QuestScript.BrickDead to 0

Never tried this in FO3, but in Oblivion the command would have been -

set MS18.BrickDead to 0

Give it a try.

I put the difficulty up a notch to very hard and it successfully led to the deaths of brick and donovan, got his unique Ranger Helmet, 2 eugenes(1 brick's, other quest reward) and 2 Ranger armours :celebration: And reilly still welcomes you with open arms and paying work

I usually try to set up Brick only (usually by blocking the other 2 from getting out into the lobby area where the action is, and I never knew Donovan had a unique helmet! I may try to let him die as well next time :)

Youse guys how rotten... you let game characters get killed just so you can wear some silly hat or pick up a Mini-gun of which you can get tons of off Muties. Eugene may be a "special" weapon but commmmmme onnnnn! How special can it be?

BTW/ Why did she name her gun Eugene? Have to do with some long ago love affair that went wrong?
