Secrets of the Dark

4E 21 The empire has become a brighter, lighter place than what it has ever been. Morrowind has receded from the Imperial hold, taking advantage of the lack of Legion power and the slow feudal system concerning the council itself, however they have maintained basic trade and contact with other provinces. Other provinces have either put forward new trade agreements to each other to better themselves in terms of coin or otherwise. Across the great ocean in Akavir the lord Neravar whom went there with an expedition encountered more than they bargained for. The fleet has recently returned to Vvardenfell Island just north of Khuul, missing some of its original vessels and gained a few more of an unknown design. When no one came ashore a small search party was sent out but never returned. The King has been informed of this sudden eerie presence and in conjunction with the local great house Redoran has put out a flier for some willing people either from within the great houses, few outlanders left in Morrowind or local natives if any are game to investigate this.

But more eyes are upon the cursed fleet than just those of the Dark elves, The Blades have their eyes on it as well, especially the strange vessels of unknown origin and have sent their own Agent along to pick up on this contract.

Rules:
Pretty simple, don't take over the rp story line
Keep characters within reasonable parameters
Romance is cool, just nothing graphic
PM characters my way before posting for approval.
Any Character sheet will do, but please be detailed as best you can.

Sounds good, I'll see if I can throw a Character Sheet together. Looks fun, I once had a similar idea ^^.

Name: Wanu Lah (Wau-new-lauh)
Nickname: New Law (Used by only a select few classmates from the Arcane University)
Race: Argonian (Agaceph)
Gender: Male
Sign: The Atronarch
Age: 27
Factions: Mage's Guild (Conjurer) and Fighter's Guild (Swordsman)

Focus: Combat/Magic
Abilities: Personality, Intelligence, and Endurance
Class: Bard
Skills: Alchemy, Athletics, Blade, Light Armor, Speechcraft

Appearance: Wanu has dull orange scales and a long face, the tip of his snout being four inches from his large eyes. He has long legs and short arms, with large hands and feet. He has very long, lean muscle, so he is not very strong but has great stamina.
Hair: No spikes, fins, etc.
Eyes: Green with black around the edges
Height: 5' 11''

Weapons: Two steel short swords and one Akivari katana, the katana and one short sword on his left hip and the other short sword on his right.
Clothing/Armor: He has light chainmail armor, worn under green or brown clothing. Specifically, his mail is in twelve pieces: his calves, thighs, chest and abdomen, back, biceps, forearms, and chain backed leather gloves with open fingers. He also sports light steel knee and elbow plates, as well as a shoulder and neck covering plate that looks something like the top of a steel cuirass.
Inventory: Always carries his alchemical gear and ingredients, which consist mainly of the rarer items not found in the wild. He also has two repair hammers as, even if he is not particularly adept at the skill, he wants to be able to save his armor from damage. Wanu also has two notebooks, one for alchemical related studies and the other for combat.
Miscellaneous: Wanu always carries three tinderboxes and two hatchets, as he has never been able to use any kind of destructive magic, or much of any magic at all, really.

Mental: He is constantly reminding himself to keep from falling into bad habits that might offend people, as he is very self conscious about how others think of him. He also is constantly reminding himself of formulas and blade sequences; as he would abhor forgetting in a time of need. This makes him very rather absent minded, and will frequently forget what he was doing in the process of solving a problem. He sees friendship as a way to help him and others get what they want, having been manipulated by his teachers and peers.

History: He grew up in High Rock, his father being a travelling blade trainer for lords and nobles. His mother died in the childbirth of his brother, Junal Lah. He grew up in castle courtyards and noble's gardens studying and playing with his brother.
His father placed great importance on a balance of physical, mental, and social skills to be happy in life, and wasted no time teaching his boy the sword as well as alchemy and science. He picked up his ways of pleasing others in courts and social events of the rich and powerful.
He joined the Fighter's and Mage's Guilds at the same time, much to the confusion of the two groups. His natural affinity for alchemy caused him to rise in rank much more quickly in the Mage's Guild than the more physical Fighter's, but he is widely respected in both. He is now a blade and alchemy trainer at the guilds, also supplying potions and ingredients to both groups.
His brother's whereabouts are unknown, but his father is retired and living in Anvil.

Thank you, and please note that although his equipment and versatility make him slightly uber, I hoped to counter-act this through a lack of spells and his mental habits.
